Overall a good breakfast location with a decent variety of options, however on our last visit the kitchen could not knock up a couple of boiled eggs for my youngest son (new a problem before). Also when the full breakfasts came it had mushrooms and fried tomato instead of the advertised sauté potato and baked beans, combined with the fact... More

I have visited Hall and Woodhouse on a number of occasions, for drinks/lunch and dinner.whilst it has an unusual and quirky atmosphere and decor and can be a fun place to be,it leaves a lot to be desired. The food is not up to restaurant standards, is over portion controlled and certainly not cheap, neither is the wine.Lunchtime service is minimal and as... Lovely restaurant on 3 floors, unusual, trendy, shabby chic, apart from the wonderful chandeliers, great atmosphere, so much to look at little touches everywhere, would have gone back for breakfast the next day but we were leaving, I noticed the breakfast menu and lunch looked very reasonably priced. Loved the roof garden, but it closes at 10pm as they have... More

Went here with a friend on a Friday evening, she had booked a table and when we arrived we were greeted and shown where to go, our table was ready and the waiting staff were attentive but not overpowering, service was very quick considering it was very busy, I can't fault the food, it arrived promptly and was hot and... Visited on a Monday lunchtime and it was fairly quiet which was lovely because I expect this place can be a bit loud and hectic when busy. The building is huge and really quirky with emphasis on relaxed dining. The menu is not extensive, which is another plus point as I would rather see a small interesting menu with everything... More

You need to pick your moments with some places and H&W is very much one of those venues that can be mentally noisy, stupidly busy and over crowded, with all the effects that go with it, mainly on Saturday nights esp after the rugby. However pick the right time and this is one of the nicest, trendiest venues in Bath.... More
