We visited this restaurant on Valentine's night (was booked by my boyfriend). Fantastic restaurant - a great find, beats any chain restaurant hands down. This restaurant offers authentic Sardinian food, a nice change from the many Italian restaurants. It has a great selection of vegetarian dishes and the reason why this restaurant was chosen (me being veggie) which is a... More

A wonderful restaurant in the centre of Bath. The food was fantastic, very fresh and authentic. We had the Sardinian breads, fresh squid and crudites followed by homemade ravioli and paparadelle with cozze, followed by torta della nonna and limoncello which were all superb. The Sardinian wine was also a recommended excellent choice. The service was friendly and efficient. I... More

Went to Aio for the first time on a Saturday night. The welcome was warm and friendly, the place itself inviting and warm on a very cold night. Had Sea Urchin to start, which was lovely, then a very nice rustic ravioli which was delicous. My wife had rabbit caccatiore which was superbly cooked. We had a lovely night, and... More

Having had a few disappointing meals out lately, I was hoping this would buck the trend. The board outside advertised "Fresh Sea Urchins", so we decided we were going to try something we'd never tasted. They were served as a starter with Sardinian Fregola, also a first for me. It was expensive for a starter but totally different and delicious.... More

Lovely food and friendly waiters, just a shame that more people don't seem willing to cross the road to get to it. The bread and olives are delicious and the fish dish of the day is always worth ordering. More

Along with a few friend we went to The Aio restaurant in Bath on a saturday night to celebrate my wifes birthday. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our window table. The menu was good with a variety of different fish dishes along some meat and vegitarian dishes, plus a good choice of desserts. Also... More

This wasn't our first choice to eat as I didn't fancy pasta. But as it was Sardinian there was much more on the menu, a great and varied choice of meats, fish, vegetarian, antipasti as well as pasta. The service was excellent. Both our waiters were very friendly and attentive. The food was gorgeous and the restaurant had a great... More

Found by chance on first visit to Bath..lovely staff. Professional and relaxed. Most delicious fresh ravioli, delicate flavours and the best lamb ragu. And a dreamy panna cotta..elegantly presented and delicious. Quiet at lunchtime. All the better for me! More

We went to Bath on a short honeymoon and ate at Aio one night when we wanted some variety of seafood, they have a blackboard of daily specials. From the outside it looks warm and inviting and it is when you step inside. It was quiet when we arrived but we were early and it filled up quickly. The staff... More
