Description: Roughly translated from Sardinian, Ai means come and join us...
Roughly translated from Sardinian, Ai means come and join us, its an appropriate title for one of Baths most welcoming restaurants. Currently the only restaurant in the South West specialising in Sardinian cuisine, Ai, on George Street close to the Assembly Rooms and The Circus is a unique dining proposition, providing Baths gastronomes with an opportunity to step outside of the Italian comfort zone. A modern interior inspired by the warm tones and natural materials of a traditional trattoria leads through to a suntrap courtyard just made for enjoying Ais summery cuisine. Head chef Roberto Lilliu puts years of experience working in Mediterranean kitchens to use here, with the menu full of the warm flavours of Southern Europe.

Beautiful food and great service

My partner and I enjoyed a beautiful meal here on Valentine's Day. The food was lovely and the service friendly and welcoming. It's a popular restaurant and it's easy to see why. It's a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

2nd visit to Aio. The fish dishes are exceptional, and the homemade Hazelnut ice cream was heavenly. Really liked the service too. Very friendly and attentive. Will be returning next time we're in Bath for sure.

A lovely place to eat. I've eaten here a number of times alone but also with friends. From the first visit, the welcome I've received has been superb. I was lucky enough to eat at a 3 michelin starred restaurant in February and the service at Aio is ten times better. The wine list is an excellent selection of Sardinian... More

Popped in, simply on the off chance when visiting Bath and had a wonderful lunch. Simple, straightforward restaurant with lovely food and great service. Not the cheapest for lunch, but the quality of the food and attention to detail made up for this. The chargrilled calamari and fettuccine with black truffle worked for me!

OK so I am a chef by trade , award winning and very particular about my food as you can imagine I have been meaning to visit Aio for ages and just haven't got round to it , until tonight. Why didn't I visit sooner ???? The food was superb , I had the crab cake, courgette sticks and monkfish... More

This restaurant spends a great deal of time and money promoting its award-winning credentials. Apparently, it's won a series of awards for quality of service, food & ambience... We must have arrived on an off-day! Service was extremely poor: we were the only guests seated on a Thursday night yet the food seemed to take ages to arrive. We assumed... More

I booked this restaurant for early on a Friday night as my husband had been recommended it some time ago now by a foodie friend but I had stalled on the basis that there are so many restaurants in Bath so why not go for what you know will be standardised and reasonably good (Jamie's Italian, GBK, etc) but we... I am usually very critical in eating out as I cook very well myself but after my visit to AIO i had to schedule some time and write a review for this restaurant. We visited the place on a Thursday night around 22:20. They were kind enough to let us dine even though it seemed like they were about to... More

We had a pretty expensive lunch here because we liked the look of it from the outside. The food was OK, but nothing hugely special. No better than standard high street Italian chains. Wouldn't bother going again, we've had much better elsewhere for less!
