Description: Roughly translated from Sardinian, Ai means come and join us,...
Roughly translated from Sardinian, Ai means come and join us, its an appropriate title for one of Baths most welcoming restaurants. Currently the only restaurant in the South West specialising in Sardinian cuisine, Ai, on George Street close to the Assembly Rooms and The Circus is a unique dining proposition, providing Baths gastronomes with an opportunity to step outside of the Italian comfort zone. A modern interior inspired by the warm tones and natural materials of a traditional trattoria leads through to a suntrap courtyard just made for enjoying Ais summery cuisine. Head chef Roberto Lilliu puts years of experience working in Mediterranean kitchens to use here, with the menu full of the warm flavours of Southern Europe.

Lovely Food and Good Location!

Visited this place last night and thought the food was lovely! The place has a very close vibe to it and is situated at the end of the high street, close to the hotels and bars. Good food, reasonable wine list but staff could be slightly more welcoming! Still would recommend as the prices and... read more

A Tale of two restaurants......the night before we visited Aio we had dined at another restaurant in Bath.....to be fair, we go there a lot and a family member had worked at the affiliated bar before going on her chosen career path....still.....they have always given fabulous customer service and great food.....always found us a table even if we had to... If only the food was as nice as the staff and ambience it would be a super restaurant. Having said that the Sardinian wines were really rather good.

I have only ever been to this beautiful eatery twice - first time almost six years ago and again in mid December 2015 - and I have to say Aio is without a doubt one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in the South West. The food was top notch and the service incredibly warm and friendly. Will go again... More

One of my favourite restaurants when I lived in Bath some years ago. I returned for lunch with a friend during a shopping trip and was delighted to find this place has maintained its wonderful standards. The waiting staff are attentive but did not hurry us. The food was, as ever exquisite. Everything was fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked. The... More

Went to this restaurant with friends, put in a back room where you had to walk down sticky carpet to get to. Service dreadful throughout, wine served warm had to ask for ice buckets, steaks over cooked not a good experience would not return

Tipped off by the Berdoulat b&b we had a great meal in a friendly run place. All authentic and fresh produce. Goat was great which I don't see often. A real good variety and quality. Go

Stumbled across this restaurant on a short visit to Bath. The menu board outside looked adventurous and tempting .. so my partner and I decided to have a meal (early evening). We ordered a meet dish ... but for the price charged, the quality of the food was very average and disappointing (meat with a few pieces of raw vegetables,... More

Another great find thanks to my good food guide ! This is a Sicilian restaurant serving good traditional food at a very reasonable price ! We started with flatbreads and olives to share which went very well with our prosecco which was served with a strawberry a nice touch. I chose from the very good specials board, sea bream fillets...
