Description: Roughly translated from Sardinian, Ai means come and join us...
Roughly translated from Sardinian, Ai means come and join us, its an appropriate title for one of Baths most welcoming restaurants. Currently the only restaurant in the South West specialising in Sardinian cuisine, Ai, on George Street close to the Assembly Rooms and The Circus is a unique dining proposition, providing Baths gastronomes with an opportunity to step outside of the Italian comfort zone. A modern interior inspired by the warm tones and natural materials of a traditional trattoria leads through to a suntrap courtyard just made for enjoying Ais summery cuisine. Head chef Roberto Lilliu puts years of experience working in Mediterranean kitchens to use here, with the menu full of the warm flavours of Southern Europe.

Fresh

Nice, very fresh Mediterranean type food, with a creative modern twist. Extremely polite, friendly and professional service. Good and unusual wine selection.

We went there twice once for dinner and the second time for lunch... Both were great food but for lunch the service and friendliness was a bit lacking which had an effect on the enjoyment of the place.

I am Italian and I rarely enjoy Italian food abroad. Aio' made me feel back in Italy! Great atmosphere, and excellent and interesting food.

Polite and attentive staff and exceptionally tasty food. Stumbled across it by chance and so glad we did.

A delicious surprise because this unpretentious restaurant served up the most enjoyable meal I've had in a very long time. We had fresh sardines and yellowfin tuna served with a wonderful fennel and citrus salad. Lip-smackingly good! Friendly and efficient service. Conveniently located in the centre of Bath. Don't miss it!

We were traveling with our teenagers when we sent them back to the room so we could have a little "couple time". This was exactly what we wanted: a quiet little restaurant to share a cheese plate and have a glass of wine. Wines and cheeses were excellent and beautifully presented. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have just returned from a delightful meal at Aio. We arrived without a reservation and were very courteously offered a choice of tables in different parts of the restaurant. Our waiter was extremely friendly and had an in depth understanding of how each of the meals was cooked and was able to advise us on what... More

Following an incredibly "I'm on holiday" lunch, we set out to top lunch with a great dinner. Randomly selecting Aio, I was rocked by most of the food, and my wife was rocked by the service. Still full of lunch (I almost said stuffed but that means something else in the UK), we got two starters, one of which was... More
