Lovey pub for a nice pint and some good grub! Staff are always welcoming and friendly, and with the great prices on top of that you can't really go wrong!

Whilst sampling a few pubs around Bath we stopped to eat and were very impressed by the lovely steak pie which quickly arrived accompanied by chips and peas. Pipping hot, filling and delicious was our conclusion and if the rest of the menu is as tasty you can't go far wrong eating here whilst of course washing it down with... More

We were looking for an Olde English Pub that my husband spoke so fondly of, this was it. Loved the decor something Aussie pubs just don't get right according to my husband ( he's English) and the food was great.

We ate here three times and had delicious and varied pub food - steak and ale pie, cottage pie, fish and chips, great beers and good wines. You have to order food and beverages at the bar (a bit confusing first time here). Convenient location.

What can I say. Its not fancy, its not all singing and dancing, it doesnt have the sauce drizzled in a squiggly line next to half a teaspoon of sweet potato mash. Its Pub Grub, done properly. I always think of this place as an eating destination if I am in Bath shopping. The portions are great. The Baguettes are... More

Found by chance wandering around Bath and nipped in to escape a summer shower. Attentive service, nice pint and classic pub surroundings, very enjoyable!

We found this down a little side street. Lovely hanging baskets and very quirky. Inside a typical old English pub. Serving wonderful pub grub, real ales, attentive service and the atmosphere was wonderful. Try it and hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as we did.

The environment is pub like and we had a table overlooking the street which was nice. The pastas (Bolognese and broccoli / cheese) were tasty. Skip the nachos. Service was attentive. The manager(?) could put a smile on her face, she was a bit brusk.

We came across Sam Wellers looking on Tripadvisor for a pub showing the football game and serving food. The reviews were great so went for it. The manager demonstrated to be the rudest I have ever came across, ruining the otherwise friendly atmosphere, showing a terrible attitude whenever she could. All the food served was tasteless (we tried several plates).... More
