We found this pub on a night time wander of bath. Stepped through the door and were greeted by a lovely chap I believe called kev who was really welcoming and funny. A real delight, so much so we went back for a second evening.

Went in on a Sunday lunchtime. Try the Steak bagettes. They are lovely. Friendly staff, good location, nice beer

My wife and I popped into this pub a week ago on a recce for our trip this past weekend with four other couples and found the food on offer was first class and hoped it would meet with the approval of our friends when we returned. We weren't let down. We all came away enthusing about the high quality.... More

We wandered into Sam Wellers whilst on a stroll around the City Centre and we're heading back to our hotel. It's a small traditional pub with a good selection of hand pulled ales and friendly service. A party of Australians on their last night in Bath were getting last minute photos when we arrived. They had obviously made this their... More

I meet my husband once a week for lunch and we've been trying different places. Generally we eat the same thing, a sarnie and chips and a soft drink and its interesting to compare the food, price and service and atmosphere. So, food? It was prompt. I had chosen a cheese and onion sandwich and had asked if it could... More

Fancied an all day breakfast and Sam Wellers was closest. Had a bang on brekkie and would definitely go back. Great pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord to wash it down as well. With all the all talk, pretentious, self praising but ultimately over priced and disappointing places to eat in Bath (there are some crackers obviously though) it's great that... More

I haven't been to this pub for years but stumbled across the reviews on TripAdvisor and thought I'd give it a go again! I wasn't disappointed. Great beer - Landlord by Timothy Taylor is always a winner, plus the classic Cornish Doombar. The place was buzzing with regulars, I found everyone really friendly and the bar staff were very efficient.... More

Have been to Bath countless times and to be honest haven't given this place a second look. Out as two couples looking for somewhere to eat just before Xmas. Checked the menu on the wall and we thought give it a go. What a good decision, food was proper pub grub, large portions well cooked at reasonable prices, beer prices... More

Went to Bath for the Xmas Fair - which was excellent. Nice atmosphere. Lots of wit and banter. Typical pub fair. Not very imaginative but well cooked and decently presented. Clean loos!
