A proper pub with sports and food!

Came in here as hubby was looking to watch the football as well as us eating lunch. If the old school feel of sticky floors and grime offend you, don't come in but that's what we were looking for...a REAL pub! We ordered a burger, hubby had beef, I had chicken breast with the 'chancho' topping... read more

We'd been here for drinks in the past when visiting Bath but it was our first time to eat here last week. The food was pretty average to be honest. A friend ordered the camel burger but he wasn't impressed with its gamey taste or gristly texture. The haddock and chips was good and my beef burger was ok. The... More

Got a couple of great ciders on draught, and a great place for chilling with a pint and a water buffalo burger. Different sorts of burgers available, as well as baguettes, salads and pasta. A bit worn around a round the edges but I really liked it, it's unpretentious and good fun.

We went here late one Saturday for a bit to eat. Our group had a mixture of food from a simple bowl of chips, jacket potato, fish finger sandwich, veggie chilli and a chocolate brownie. I personally just had the brownie and it was yummy and reasonably priced. Indeed all the other food looked good and little was left. The... More

The Pig & Fiddle had been recommended to us, and it did not disappoint. We stopped in on New Year's day, and it was warm and comfortable. They even had a fire in the fireplace. They offered exotic meats - kangaroo was the special for the day. They also had venison, boar, beef, chicken, and turkey on their menu. Not... More

This pub is a five minute walk from the abbey. As tourists, it's nice to feel welcome and we certainly were. The food was quite good and the menu was varied. A real nice comfortable place for a leisurely lunch.

Prior to one of Bath's interesting ghost walks, we sampled the fare...water-buffalo burger for me and cottage pie formy colleague at reasonable prices. Almost opposite the Bath Hilton worth noting if you are staying there.

A favourite of sports fans and students and is usually packed on days when sport is on the many TV's. It serves a good range of beers and has a good outdoor area when the pub gets too packed.

Good range of ales in a sports-bar type setting. Woody and basic ambience enhances the general feel of the place.

It was free entry .... That's the one star ... There was sick on the floor in the ladies and no chimes for new year / New Years count down ....that's the minus four.
