Buzzing, noisy, fun!

Great atmosphere, loud, rubbish soda and lime (!) - good, fun place to be. I try to nab the comfy seat by the door!

I love to grab one of many on point burgers they have on the menu and accompany it with a cider whilst reading my book - needless to say you'll feel at home here and it's a great spot to gather the friends!

I have been here a couple of times and the food has been lovely but the size of it seems to vary every time we go. Three of us ordered the chicken burger and one was almost twice the size of the other ones. Other than that word of warning we always want to go back as between this and... More

There are not many establishments that are in 'The Good Beer Guide' (an annual CAMRA publication, entry into which is governed by membership visits) AND on the Cask Mark Beer Trail (an independent certification of quality kept libation, tested at least twice a year) The Pig & Fiddle however, is one of them and that should be an influential decision... The Pig & Fiddle has always been a great pub with good beer, live music and a good atmosphere. However, when we went in at lunchtime i.e. in daylight, you could see just how dirty the place has become. The seats are all ingraiined with dirt and the toilets are frankly third world standard. We will n ot return unless... More

We had already decided to go there on Friday evening and luckily it was right opposite our hotel. Very noisy but good atmosphere. Strange music played by the DJ! If you want to eat, be there by 7.30pm - we were too late!

Wonderful find. The food is limited but the Buffalo burger was great...and gjess the other unusual burges were too...the veggie burged looked good too. The range of beers was excellent . The place has character. Yes, Kevin, the odd chair may wobble but you missed the whole point which is the great atmosphere, the overall decor and general good feel,... More

We were so happy to find this place, quite a hip place to hang out, food very reasonably priced, chilli and chips £4.95 - however sadly the chilli was cold, think they forgot to microwave it, sent it back and the next one was still cold!!!! We asked for bags of crisps instead!

We had our last drink of the night in here on a night out. The seats were awful - the wooden chairs wobbled and the sofa was ripped. The lighting was dark and dingy and the bar just felt rough. Not in a punchy way, just not very "upmarket" if you see what I mean. Not a place I would... More
