Decided to eat here as it was just down the road from where we were staying. We had fish and chips, it was freshly cooked piping hot and very very filling, hubby had his and half of mine (greedy pig) reasonable prices too.

I went to The Weston in Bath for Sunday Lunch as it had been recommended to us. We had booked for 2pm but when we went for our meals the Yorkshire puddings were soggy, they had ran out of carrots so me (being a veggie) had to make do with a soggy Yorkshire , dried out roasties, nice crispy green... A very well cooked carvery platter and wonderful staff. Very well run pub with a lovely 'unstuffy' atmosphere. If we lived here we'd be here every Sunday.

Wonderful Sunday roast. Yorkshire puds the size of footballs (almost), and a very good selection of vegetables, good roast potatoes and a choice of gravy. The plate was literally piled high. Well worth a visit.

A bit shabby and the food was so so. I noticed a couple of bits of carrot on the floor near our table as we were finishing our meal. I had a chicken tandoori salad - slices of chicken coated with tandoori over a pretty basic salad. My companion has fish cakes which were a bit flavourless. We came because... More

I was a bit put off when the waitress brought over a tatty printed sheet on an old clipboard which passed as the menu but on a positive note the food was good and it was great value for money. We both ate fish and chips and with drinks the bill came to under £30.

Visited the Weston for the 'Motown' night, the tribute act sang a selection Motown for the first set the second set was obviously their choice of songs - which unfortunately they did not sing very well - did anyone hear them before they were booked? Food was poor - fishcakes overdone and as for the burger - looked like road... More

The food was great and the beer cold. How can you argue with that? We arrived in the early evening. The patrons looked to be an even split between folks enjoying a pint and those eating dinner.

We have just returned from having the Sunday carvery meal at The Weston. Have not visited this pub for many years but we were very impressed with the friendly service and excellent meal. Choice of two meats and lots of different vegetables. We followed this with ice cream, but there was also a good choice of sweets on the menu.... More
