A lovely meal

Had a family lunch at Jamie's Italian today. It got really busy at about 1pm so I'd recommend booking. The meals were tasty but I wouldn't say that they were anything special. I'd chosen Jamie's because it had an award-winning children's menu but I was a little bit disappointed on that count - they... read more

The weather was beautiful and we sat outside on the upstairs balcony for lunch. Good service and very nice food. The arancini were excellent and also the two pasta dishes we ate - ravioli with ricotta, broccoli and tomato sauce (a special on the day) and crab spagettini. I love the fact that you can order a small portion of... More

We were lucky to get a table last minute. Having been to Barbecoa and Union J's we thought it would be great. It was boiling hot in there and the floor was slippery, my daughter fell off the chair and banged her head. I didn t feel that hungry just wanted something smal. I decided on mozzarella and tomato salad... More

Lovely setting, lovely decor, good service. But the food is a bit soulless...it wasn't bad, just another chain experience really. Had a good laugh with friends and certainly felt comfortable, but have enjoyed better cooking in less expensive independently owned places. Might visit another one at some point, if invited out with friends but wont be making a bee line.

Lunched there on 22nd. Had the special of Sea Bass and Heritage Carrots etc. Absolutely great to have perfectly cooked fish and such a different vegetable. The trio of ice creams included salted caramel which was gorgeous and the honeycomb topping melted in the mouth. It is a family friendly restaurant so you just have to accept that there may... More

My wife's birthday booked for 1830, no problem found a table that suited us. Not having visited for some time we noted the place to be a little drab, and not much atmosphere. The serving girl was very professional and polite. For starters we share the Crispy Squid, very good but the mayonnaise dressing looked as it had been around... More

I have visited numerous Jamie's all over the UK and am normally very impressed. Not to be last night, booked a table for 4 using my Gold card. After we were eventually seated, in a fairly quiet restaurant (by Jamie's standards) it took 15 mins to find a server - even then my wife had to go and find one!... More

We recently ate at Jamie's Italian, my wife and friend and I. The food was great, I had the sausage pappadelle which was delicious! The only criticism, my wife is pregnant and we were advised that all cheese being served in the restaurant is non-pasteurised, meaning that my wife could not eat anything on the menu that contained cheese. Slightly... More

Love Jamie's for a healthy tasty lunch. Don't be put off by the small space. It really is worth popping in. The meat of the day to go with the inventive salads is gorgeous. I got a massive slab of lamb to go with my generous portion of salad. It's one oft vegetarian daughter's favourite places. Like the deco too... More

Booked this for my wife's 50th birthday as she's always fancied going. Booked online and the 'other requests' box popped up, so I thought I'd mention as it was my wife's birthday we would like a quieter/more secluded table. Arrived on time, and were sat immediately - although we've liked to at least ordered a cocktail at the bar, but... More
