Birthday treat tonight with my two Daughters. Busy place which is a good sign. We tried rump steak, venison and a game pie. All absolutely delicious and presentation wonderful. Clove custard an interesting addition to an apple crumble but it works. All in all another great place to eat in Bath. They also do a full day for Sunday lunches.

The pub atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and the food was beyond gourmet! The service was good considering how busy it was. Was a lovely evening and would recommend to anyone and will definately return!

This was our first visit to The Chequers and certainly will not be our last. We went for Sunday lunch and opted for the traditional Sunday Roast with Beef. Frankly, the best Sunday roast we have ever had! We were treated with efficiency and kindest with a little humour too, which is always good. Good value too for the quality... More

We really enjoyed our visit to chequers when we were on a day trip to bath. The food was excellent with many gluten free options and the service was good. The atmosphere was also very welcoming and warm with a roaring fire. Would definitely recommend!

...and this was a good one. Ham Hock, followed by turkey and all the trimmings, followed by Xmas pudding, plus a couple of great amuse bouches! The quality of the food and the service were excellent. Will certainly return.

The food was exceptional. We had a salt and pepper squid starter to share which was nice and crispy but the squid not overcooked so was not chewy. We both had the beef roast dinner, every single item on the plate was delicious and perfectly cooked without exception (lovely rare beef, super crispy potatoes, perfectly risen giant Yorkshire pudding, indulgently...
