Portions sizes are an issue, but a nice lunch nonetheless.

I must say we enjoyed an enjoyable dinner here with a few friends. The staff were smiley and ensured we had a fun evening, however, despite the food being of a high quality portion sizes left us slightly underwhelmed. Drinks are on the pricey side but not extortionate. All in all a fun evening but... read more

The food was lacking any depth of flavour and very much run of the mill fare. I had a beed stir fry which had no real flavours and my partners red curry was equally bland and uninspiring. I think the menu is too extensive. The owners might be better advised to do less and do it better, rather than doing... More

Like most Thai restaurants, Salathai is perhaps a little gimmicky when it comes to interior design, complete with the English waitresses wearing Thai dresses... However, the good was lovely and good sized portions - between us we had 2 starters; chicken satay and crispy duck and pancakes, and shared a chicken panang curry with sticky rice for our main. This... More

Do not be misled by the exterior of the Salathai because the service & food are very good. The set price lunch has a very good choice & is excellent value. Not a full of frills eaterie but proper honest food. Will revisit when back in Bath.

The decoration and lighting of the restaurant may be a little quirky, but the food and the service are fabulous! We'd recommend it in a heartbeat (particularly as they understand that not all vegetarians like tofu, so they are happy to serve veggie dishes without including it - always a win for me!).

Went to Salathai with some friends after a recommendation, restaurant was quite busy and nearly full. The waitress was very friendly and bought some prawn crackers to the table. We ordered a selection of different starters and a soup which were all really tasty and freshly cooked, for mains we had two stir frys, a massaman curry and a dry... More

First visit to salathai lays night which was very pleasant. Mixed starters for three were great. Ribs, spring rolls, prawns, satay chicken, and some prawn crackers. Mains were all very tasty. Stir fries and curries all very tasty. Friendly service and reasonable price. Would recommend.

We've visited several times, and again yesterday evening. It's a friendly, comfortable, warm atmosphere with a lovely team running the restaurant. The food is consistently good and never disappoints. The big differentiator here is value for money ... Unusually for Bath, you leave feeling you have got a great deal ... It is very competitively priced indeed. I don't understand... More

Up there with the best. Food wonderful, and the staff so polite and helpful. We have been many times and I'm looking forward to my next trip.

The yellow curry was amazing! It was the best one I've ever had. Restaurant is open late. It's an intimate, small restaurant and the servers wear traditional Thai clothing.
