Description: Situated around the corner from The Royal Crescent, The Marlborough Tavern combines the atmosphere of a local pub with the quality of a top restaurant. Two AA rosettes, a horde of local & national awards plus inclusions in The Michelin Guide and Good Food Guide bear testimony to their consistent delivery of high quality cooking. They have a clear approach to food find the best and freshest ingredients and to create great tasting, essentially simple dishes where the quality of the produce speaks for itself. Married to that is a passion for inventiveness that sees the menu constantly changing. Food is essentially though not slavishly English in character and takes advantage of locally sourced produce wherever possible. The lunchtime menu features a range of lighter dishes and sharing plates plus some traditional pub classics - and the Sunday roasts are legendary. Their food reputation is matched by their service always friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They have an extensive wine list and selection of local ales, and they can mix a mean cocktail too. Outside they boast what is arguably Baths finest pub garden; a walled courtyard space, its perfect for summertime lunching and drinking.

We booked at short notice to have Sunday lunch here and secured a table for 8pm. It was down to Trip advisor that we came to this pub for dinner, as it had great reviews. Service was great from walking in, immediately seated and drinks ordered. Menu was only small but enough choices and I wanted a Roast dinner so... More

I visited the Marlborough Tavern for dinner last week. When I rang to make a reservation, (can get pretty busy) the lady was very polite and helpful in arranging me a table. I have eaten here on a number of occasions and I can honestly say that it is one of my favorite spots to eat in Bath. The menu... More

I recently visited the Marlborough Tavern with my other half, and we had a fantastic evening! The food was beautifully cooked and the choice of dishes available was brilliant! There was something for everyone! The service was fantastic - very polite and cheerful staff, service with a smile! I would reccomend the malborough tavern to anyone who visits bath! 10/10

This was the second time we have eaten here (first time was the best Sunday Roast I have had in Bath). Food was exceptional, served in a nice little garden tucked away next to Victoria Park. Great service, and a new favourite of ours.

Came here with family after not seeing them since Christmas, and had the perfect experience. The food was fantastic, the portions not too big, though the third course chocolate pudding defeated me. The service was relaxed, giving us time to catch up and not feel rushed. Great cocktails and selection of wines and beers. A fantastic evening, well worth the... More

Lovely pub. Fine dining with a relaxed atmosphere. I had a delicious main course of beef fillet and oxtail croquettes, (£23 but was worth it) so good I want to go back for it ASAP! The desserts aren't as refined and the chocolate orange mess was not great, regretted ordering, but the quality of the main definitely made up for... More

Excellent pub gastro in North East of Bath, 2 mins or less from the back of Royal Crescent and opposite The Approach public golf course. We had the fish and it was cooked to perfection ….presented wonderfully and delicious. The advantage of eating there is that there is plenty of parking nearby in the evening. The pricing is high but... More
