We ate here on a Saturday night as part of a party of 6. We all had different choices but all were excellent. Only surprise was it wasn't full despite being a small restaurant. Would certainly go again if visiting Bath.

Wonderful food, always. The welcome is somewhat muted, although if you are known there the owner is a lot more effusive. A shame really as she makes it seem exclusive, which you should not do, especially in a restaurant with so few tables.

Having lived in Bath for the past 3 years, I can honestly say this is the only restaurant which delivers quality consistently . They serve the best French food in Bath and the very best steak despite the proliferation of steakhouses! I like my steak cooked blue and this is the only restaurant to really understand what this means. A... More

The venue is very intimate and welcoming. The food is simply the best french food you can eat anywhere. Every visit is a treat.

The very wonderful city of Bath is full of not very wonderful and disappointingly mediocre restaurants, many of which leave you feeling horribly resentful over the amount of money you have spent for food you could have produced better at home and an equally unexciting experience. Not so with the very pretty, delightful surroundings and truly flavoursome, authentically French cuisine... More

Second visit to this cozy taste of France. Very nice. One of our favorites in Bath. Menu is modern French with some acknowledgement to health issues. Something on the menu for all. Excellent wine list. Arrive early in good weather if you want to sit outside. Reservations taken only for inside seating.

Friends recently introduced us to this cosy restaurant and I can't understand why we haven't tried it before. Quietly situated in a traffic free walkway, Casanis has a typically French under-stated exterior. Once inside the welcome was warm on a very cold night and the menu looked exciting. Escargots were presented in perfectly cooked fresh ravioli together with ceps and... More

We ate another wonderful lunch here on a grey Saturday afternoon in February. The food and service is so consistent. The service is charming, attentive, knowledgable, lacking the stuffy formality of other French restaurants in Bath, creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The food was wonderful as always, simple yet sophisticated, seasonal, full of flavour. I really shouldn't recommend it... More

My Daughter took me here for my birthday and I have to say the food was as good as any I have ever tasted. As an example I had an uninspired choice of French Onion soup as a starter, just because it was on the specials board. It was just so good, how they make such a simple dish so... More
