Excellent food but a long wait

Our food was to die for a beautiful meal for all three of us. However the wait between starter and main was far to long and as the waitress kept passing i tried to make eye contact to sign we had finished she looked at our empty piled plates and walked away several times... The service was excellent and we found the food to be well priced and nicely presented. The quality of the food was very good and it arrived quick enough for us, even though the pub it was very busy. It was our second visit and we would definitely return, there was a good feel in the pub and it was... More

Dropped in as we were passing for a Sunday lunch. Although the restaurant was full, the pub side had room and the menu was the same. Good choice of drinks and we decided on the roast beef with usual yorkshire pudding etc, which was just over £10 each. When it arrived it wasn't really hot enough but as we'd waited... More

A prominent and substantial Vintage Inns pub on the main A4 just outside of Bath, like most of their outlets it is quite food left, but there is nonetheless no reason why you couldn’t just pop in for a pint. There is an enormous car park at the rear which is just as well as there is no housing or... More

Having downloaded the Vintage inns vouchers for free glasses of house wine beforehand we wrongly assumed that they would be accepted against an order for house wine."If we had known that you were going to use the vouchers we would have served you a different house wine". Not very good.

We treated family to Sunday lunch at this pub. We were feeling a bit nervous as the last time we went there, around two years ago, the food wasn't very good at all. The location suited us today, though, so we took the risk. We were pleasantly surprised. We didn't have our usual starter but went straight for the roast... More

Popped in today for a quick lunch stop. Got seated quickly and our waiter was very polite and our food came within 15mins of ordering. Had a lovely time and service was incredible.

I organised a wake at the Globe on the 2nd. April and it was excellent. The fire was lit which was lovely on a miserable day.The sandwiches. were moist and tasty, and plenty of food for the nos. booked in.The staff were all helpful and friendly. Parking is easy and plentiful, so I would highly recommend The Globe to anyone who... More

Last minute change of plan, turned up without booking at end of lunch period. Service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Good quality food and portion size at a reasonable price, and a good wine list. large car park. Worth a visit!!!
