Some of the nicest food I've ever tasted

Me and my boyfriend ate here after seeing it on trip advisor. It's only a small place, about 9 tables and not the fanciest of places but the food was out of this world, cooked perfectly and beautifully presented and the service was excellent. Starters are all around the £9 mark pastas around £12... read more

Friendly staff in a family-run restaurant. Choice of dishes was reasonably varied as were wines. Quality of food was fair. I told the waiter that some of the clams in my dish had not opened; he made no comment.

This restaurant is one which I have visited many times throughout my life for various occasions - at both lunchtimes and dinner. The food served here is all beautifully presented, with delicious, unique flavours of Italy which you cannot get elsewhere. Everything is cooked freshly to order by a professional chef, which adds value to every dish created. I really... More

I have been to La Dolce Vita many times throughout my life, and this restaurant has never failed to disappoint. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything that I've tried, which includes the delicious Tagliatelle al Ragù, and Panna Cotta, all prepared by professional chefs who have close links to Italy. The whole atmosphere of La Dolce Vita feels very homely and... More

Delicious food, clearly an expert chef. Pricing very slightly on the expensive side considering it is mainly quite simple food, albeit beautifully cooked and presented. Dessert was possibly the highlight.

I had the pleasure to dine here mid February 2015. First and foremost I'd like to point out that I myself am italian so I was ready to be very critical. What can I say ...it was some of the best italian food I've had...it was true authentic italian food and Oh My the dessert....an explosion of flavours in my... More

Blown away by such a dining experience, fantastic food even my very 'meat and 2 veg' fussy husband really enjoyed it.We found it on Tripadvisor only, they have no need to advertise. Thank goodness I did not decline the dessert, all homemade and such a divine choice.Luigi was exceptional at the front of house and his wife came out to explain all the... More

Forgive the James Martin pun. This is an Italian restaurant with a little extra. For starters my wife had the “Uovo a 62° C”, 62°C poached duck egg, baked potato, mushrooms and truffle and she had never tasted anything like it. I had Capesante, Seared scallops with cauliflower, curry and apple which was delicious and superbly cooked. We followed with Monk... More

While staying in the area we chose this restaurant from Trip Advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed! Lovely meal and very friendly staff. I had fillet steak which was cooked to perfection served with vegetables cooked in unusual ways. I have never had smoked marrow before! The crowning glory was the ice cream dessert - home made and served in... More

Me and my partner ate here mid week in the middle of Jan, although the restaurant was quiet, yet the welcome was warm! We were greeted by the chef personally, as my partner knew a staff member, she was most hospitable! To the point, this place is a gem, beautifully presented, seasonal Italian classics brought into present! I will definitely... More
