Me and my wife visited Shrewsbury this weekend and went to La Dolce Vita on Sunday night for a meal. Having visited this restaurant before our expectation of the quality of food was very high but on this occasion the food surpassed our expectation. We were made to feel very welcome by the delightful owners and the food was an... More

The service was friendly, but not overbearing. The food was delicious. Three of us started with carpaccio, which melted in the mouth. One person had the beetroot, goats cheese, orange and pistacchio salad, which was very tasty. For mains, three had the spaghetti fruta di mare, and the plates were all cleaned down to the glaze. I had the spaghetti... More

Small restaurant offering an intimate atmosphere. We called in here hoping for some top cuisine, we weren't disappointed. Dessert was especially nice...like a deconstructed snickers bar, salted caramel was divine. The bottle of Barolo was amazing. We spent an awful amount of money but I can honestly say it was worth every penny. We stayed quite late and were the... More

We have seen & heard about this place for some time & finally went as given a gift voucher for my wife's birthday. What a delightful evening from beginning to end. Even with 2 young daughters along (2 & 3 years) we were made most welcome by the friendly owners. Not a huge menu - but everything sounded so good... More

A party of us went for lunch just before Christmas and everyone really enjoyed the ambience, the service and the proper Italian food - and at sensible prices.Lunch dishes were around the £8 mark! More expensive evening menu. The food was well-presented and packed with flavour - when the chef (son of the Italian proprietor) came out, we all gave... More

Absolutely wonderful! The owner and his family really looked after us. The place its self is quite small and intimate with lovely ambiance. The food was delicious, although my wife found the desert a little too rich for her liking, (so I finished it for her. Yum, Yum!!) We will definitely eat here again when we return to Shrewsbury
