The food is always spot on and worth the wait for it to be freshly prepared. The menu is unique and always offers interesting and gorgeous flavours. The staff go the extra mile to cater for younger needs and diet requirements. The Penne 83 is a must!

If you find yourself in Shrewsbury do visit La Dolce Vita. We had a wonderful Italian meal there served by the very attentive Luigi and his friendly wife. This was really service with a smile - and the most authentic Italian food we have ever eaten.

A wonderful evening at La Dolce Vita - I cant praise the food and warm welcome enough. Starters were varied, imaginative and difficult to choose – the prawn and smoked salmon was an explosion of flavours which complimented each other perfectly accompanied by a selection of home made bread. For main I opted for the Ragu and pasta. Lovely, well... More

We are fairly regular at La Dolce Vita, and thought it time that we wrote a review. Sometimes we have been there just my wife and myself, and sometimes with family. Whenever we go the service is impeccable, the food absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful for a relaxed evening out. If you want hussle and bussle, and difficulty... More

Visiting during their pasta celebration week so can't really ĺeave a full experience review. Very friendly and attentive, starters and deserts were a bit pricey but very tasty- the prawn cocktail and tiramisu were gorgeous, however the main meal was not as described which was penne with roasted peppers and creamy oriental sauce - but actually tasted like curry and... We popped in during the recent food festival in the town. It was a set lunch just to give a flavour of the restaurant. The offerings were very good. Home cooked, authentic italian food. Its a family run business and the owner and his staff were excellent. They were smiling and happy to see us. The decor is a bit... More

This was our 2nd visit, excellent like the 1st, different menu, we had the house white which is very cold and dry, excellent value. All the courses were superb, our friends were very impressed. If you like homemade Italian food you won't get any better.

Went on Saturday evening with friends. We had booked for 8 pm & decided we would like to eat earlier, on phoning the restaurant they politely said this wasn't possible. After eating there I can understand why & was glad they had declined my request. There are only around 30 covers, the menu has a good selection including vegetarian, each dish has... More

I recently had the pleasure of visiting La Dolce Vita in Shrewsbury. This small, family-run restaurant aims to offer a real taste of Italy...and it succeeds! The welcome is warm and friendly and there is a relaxed and authentic vibe which is lovely. The Head Chef, Gennaro Addigio, is an award winning chef and a member of the Welsh Culinary... More
