Lovely lunch

We visited Cromwells with the grand children for lunch. The bar area was full but we were shown to a table in the restaurant area which with a 3 year old and a 1 year old was ideal. The food was superb and the children's portions were thoroughly enjoyed by both of the boys. The staff could not have... read more

Fabulous staff they where extremely welcoming and attentive. Food was very enjoyable arrived in a timely manner even though they where very busy and food was well presented. We ate in the garden that is set out nicely on two levels but as a non smoker I think it would be nice if they just kept the top level for... More

Lovely afternoon meal. Had the lemon chicken with a barbeque sauce & husband had the burger. Very freshly cooked. Sat on the higher terrace with a good suntrap.

Even though the menu has changed, this place is great for lunch, and some fabulous nibbles..... the outside space is great, when the weather is good, and also the service was absolutely wonderful.. drinks flowing, lots of fun and fab for the kids and ladies who lunch ( us !!)

Came here on our last night in Shrewsbury. Being a big family it can be difficult to find somewhere that caters for all but there was no issue here. The desserts were definitely the best thing-amazingly well thought out flavour combinations. Our waiter was also incredibly helpful and friendly having no issue with going to the kitchen to ask for... More

We went for a friends birthday. In short the food was extremely disappointing. Presentation was poor, it lacked taste (if you exclude the grease) and the chips seemed to have been re-fried at least 4 times!!! We shared our dissatisfaction with the young man when the food was served and taken away, who didn't apologise or particularly acknowledge our discontent.... More

I've been a frequent visitor to Cromwells over the last ten years or so. I can't recall experiencing anything other than great food and an enjoyable time. I last visited just before Christmas, and had a very average meal in the dull restaurant room. I thought that this was just 'one of those evenings'. I thought I'd give it another... More

Not as they used to be? No...they're better! You say that you have been a customer of ours for ten years and always enjoyed great food and had an enjoyable time. It's a pity that you never posted reviews about those good experiences, as you have done with other venues in the town, but only posted this critical one. I've... More
