Excellent food and good choices, good service and great atmosphere. The waiting staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly. The food was well presented and imaginative but there were also simple choices too. I would certainly return to eat here if I am ever in Shrewsbury again.

The Peace Tree gets something of a fanatical following and I don’t really understand why. Not that it’s bad, no in fact it’s completely competent. Fine. Okay. Worthy of modest praise. I visited last on a weekday evening. I never tire of seeing the interior of the Peace Tree. The Zulu Dawn meets Atlantis meets Cadfael interior is a fantastic... More

I can't fault this place, it really ticks all the boxes for us. Have visited for lunch, where we enjoyed their sandwiches and light bites for £5 - good value and the ham rarebit tasted fantastic just enough to enjoy with a drink on a lunchtime. Also visited for dinner and again enjoyed every aspect, husband had seabass with Beetroot... More

I came here yesterday for my birthday lunch and it was so special. The staff are very friendly and serve to a very high standard. I had tempura greens, humous, halloumi and the chocolate garden nemesis. The humous has to be the best I have ever eaten, the flavours were amazing and the presentation beautiful. The halloumi was beautiful, cooked... More

We have been here, for lunch, once before. We loved it so much we tried dinner. Wonderful greeting by the maître d! Ushered to our table in beautiful surroundings. Wonderful margarita! Had a long wait for our starter, but profuse apologies from lovely waitress. Main course I had Sea bass on beet root risotto, my husband had a fusion dish... More

As a party of nearly 20 females on a hen do, you expect there to be some hiccups. However, there wasn't even one! The super organisation & friendly staff ensured everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and well presented. They even catered for dietary requirements with no trouble or fuss (e.g. vegan). The highlight for some was celeb spotting... More

I have now been to The Peach Tree multiple times and it seemingly gets better with every visit. A particularly memorable one was Christmas Dinner a couple of years back which was absolutely delicious. The presentation of the food is, apart from the taste, the real highlight of a Peach Tree meal. Stunning, inventive and fun are a few of... More

We were recommended the Peach Tree by our B&B host. We had not pre-booked, but the maitre d' found us a table. We enjoyed very attentive service and interesting starters, with an Asian influence, accompanied by glasses of house wine. One main - pan fried sea bass on beetroot rissotto was excellent - but the other was disappointing. The Piggy... More

We were invited to the Peach Tree to celebrate our friends wedding and it could not have been any more perfect. The welcome on arrival was warm, genuine and we were greeted with a lovely Pimms Cocktail. We were dining in the upstairs room, which was beautifully and tastefully decorated, fresh flowers, lit candles and petals. The food was fantastic,... More
