Brilliant Breakfast

Gorgeous, fresh breakfast with lots of flavor. I've been for breakfast to numerous places around Shrewsbury but this one seems to stand out, It's not your usual greasy fry up that you get from other chain restaurants/ pubs. I would definitely recommend. Haven't yet been there in the evening but... read more

I would definitely recommend. Haven't yet been there in the evening but i've also heard great things!

Massive decline in what was one of the best places to eat in town. Used to visit all the time, visited the other day for first time in a while as I was finding the atmosphere unpleasant, turns out it's still the same, often hear the poor staff getting a mouthful from the managers. good, quirky menu though.

Yet again on a trip to Shrewsbury we decided to go to number four. We both had the seabass to start and pork belly for our main. Both courses were very tasty. The service was friendly and attentive. We really recommend this place and are planning our return visit.

Just love this place, visited recently whilst holidaying in Shrewsbury. Staff friendly, restaurant is a modern environment in lovely medieval street. Had breakfast and lunch both were fantastic, the ambience here is just perfect.

Was recommended to use this place for breakfast so we sought it out on purpose. We were so lucky to be seated though, never before have i seen people queueing out of the door for breakfast! There were loads of other eateries, even one right opposite with nobody in it and yet people still chose to queue for 15 minutes... More

Had an evening meal with three others at number four tonight - lovely food (gnocchi and chocolate fondant especially good!) and very friendly attentive staff. The lady in charge dealt amicably and professionally with a rowdy party particularly when several men were behaving in a rude and intimidating way towards the female members of staff. Quite small portions for the... More

a friend and I were having lunch and picked Number Four because we had read such good reviews on Tripadvisor. However when we arrived we thought the menu was a little uninspired. Let me just say how wrong we were if you have mushrooms on toast and they are the best mushrooms on toast ever then you can not be... More

I've been eating here since it opened a couple of years ago and it's always a joy. Great food using local produce cooked by Toby and his team and served by very helpful staff. They open for breakfast, which is popular because it's first class; try the full English! Once a week they have a themed evening which is a... More

I come here all the time and love it. It can be busy at the weekends so book! I recently had the beef and chorizo burger and it was wonderful. Really juicy and packed with red cabbage slaw with a side of fries and pickles. I've seen the buns being handmade in house and they are the nicest buns ever.... More

stopped off for a light bite as had previously walked past after eating elsewhere. Menu for evening looked great, very quirky layout as you walk past a fridge with raw ingredients for cooking on display, menu for lunch varied enough and with good twists, deep fried wasabi shallots a little underpowered but tasty, all told perfectly good food, tea pot...
