A step up from normal pub food, but struggle to see great value.

Went with a few friends and have eaten there a few times before. Overall the food was good, I have the lamb which was tasty, came with mash and veg and I paid under £20 which wasn't the best I have had in the area but wasn't bad and overall was very pleasant. But i loved the, I think it... read more

Popped in The Malthouse for a sandwich as we were having a set dinner for Sunday evening. Good service. We ordered baguettes which were excellent. Very very fresh full of filling and accompanied by lovely fresh side salad and warm tortilla chips. Lovely! One of the best sandwiches ever.

I came here for a late sunday lunch today with my partner & even though the price seemed expensive for what it was we thought we would enjoy a nice meal as we only live around the corner. We were told to find ourselves a table which we did, waitress came over & asked if we wanted drinks & off... More

Waited ages to be served and between courses. Dishes from starters weren't cleared for half an hour and we had to ask. Expensive menu - parmesan chicken was £16 for a chicken breast and 3 thin slices of potato, no veg. When I mentioned slow service to manager after our starters, she replied they were busy and asked 'do you... More

We chose The Malthouse for a Saturday evening out, as they have live music every weekend, and we were impressed with the band when we had visited with friends on a previous occasion... but this isn't about the music. We booked a table in advance, although we were of the impression that we were being 'shoe-horned' in. We arrived in... More

If you don't like the colour red... stay away! Everything is VERY red inside :) Overall happy with Malthouse and no serious complaints, it's pretty good food and huge range on the menu, perhaps a little pricier than some places but this is Ironbridge and unless you have food like the burgers of their standard pub food menu, then you're... Visited the Iron Bridge on way home from elsewhere and decided to eat out. Looked in my trusty good pub guide and Lo and behold we were literally parked outside this establishment which was listed. Common sense prevailed and in we went. The 3 children with us were made very welcome which always a great start. A couple of well... More

Excellent service. Very friendly and quick. My husband and I opted for the roast turkey. It came on the plate with roast potatoes and stuffing balls and cranberry sauce on the top of the meat. The veg was served in a separate dish. The turkey was tender but the cranberry was very sweet and it had permeated the meat with... More
