Another lovely meal

Just back from another family meal at the Horse & Jockey. We had four different main courses between us, all really tasty - and the chips are so good! We found the service good, as always - friendly and helpful. And quick, which helps when you have a toddler with you!

I would have to say after reading all the excellent reviews for the Horse and Jockey we were slightly disappointed with our Sunday lunch experience. The pub itself is very small and I would estimate seats around 35 and does not have a separate bar area so if your not eating you can't really have a beer as there is... More

Visited the Horse And Jockey Easter Sunday for a quick drink after a long walk to Ironbrige, the food looked good so thought we must try. We returned today to see if it tasted as good as it looked. I had Duck Pancake and my partner the black pudding with poached eggs as starters, followed by the 2x stakes and... More

Visited with our young family - they only serve well-behaved children - and their menu didn't disappoint. Freshly prepared meals and while our youngest had chicken goujons, they were clearly home cooked and not fished out of a freezer. A real find in Ironbridge, worth a visit. Vfm.

We made a return visit to this pub restaurant while on a visit to Ironbridge, recently. It's a small place but with a great selection of meals, fine flavours and generous servings. Whether for Sunday lunch or Evening dining, you're guaranteed a tasty meal in comfortable surroundings.

We called In early on Monday just after opening time. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Superbly cooked fresh food and service excellent. Very generous portions served in a relaxing old pub environment with local beers on tap. Thoroughly recommended.

Researched on TripAdvisor as we would be in the area for Valentines weekend and anticipated 'full house' everywhere. Booked in here for food and we were not disappointed. Three course meal for £16 a head. Excellent value. Excellent food and great atmosphere. Staff really good. A la carte n Menu looked good. Will definitely go back if we are in... More

I like to try pub food in various parts of the country and i visited the jockey after looking at trip advisor and i was not disappointed. I visited on a Monday night and wondered what it was going to be like when we were the only ones in the pub, but it was superb, my partner was over the... More

We visited the Horse and Jockey after recently moving into the area. As a couple who both love cooking we also enjoy searching for a great place to eat out. The horse and jockey met and easily exceeded our expectations. The service we received was first class; even when the place was packed full, a personal rapport was built by... More

We booked a table for 2pm on a Sunday having seen the reviews for the place here on Trip Advisor. Upon arrival we discovered that the parking facilities aren't great with their being about 4 spaces out the front. After finding somewhere to park the car we headed in for a fantastic meal! It's a nice, chilled atmosphere in a... More
