As part of a Kelham Island beer trail a group of six of us called into The Fat Cat. Four were newbies to the premises & they were impressed with the atmosphere, beer garden, selection of ales and value for money. A little gem of a pub, a real quality retro pub. You've gotta try the 'Pale Rider' ale, it's... More

Wonderful garden and quirky pub near to Kelham Museum and brewery. Not eaten here but understand they have a curry night and quizzes also. Once you get in you won't want to get out :)

You go to this pub for the fabulous beer but the food is good standard traditional fare and really good value for money.

Managed to find this little gem of a pub and found it to be perfect. Two visits now and definately more to come.Tried the Timothy Taylors and the Kelham island best, really enjoyed them both and also tried the aubergine and red wine pie from the small but adequate menu and found it surprisingly tasty and refreshing.I can't wait to see... Went on a works event for BIFM and love a good cask ale. The drink was crisp and full of flavour. The food was more than even I could eat and that's saying something. The tour was so interesting too. Staff were typically Sheffield blokes and up for banter. Long live the fat cat

This is hands down one of my favorite pubs in sheffield. Great atmosphere, beer and prices. The outdoors seating area is lovely, nevermind it seems to rain everytime I go!. Kelham island is a authentic historical area and its hard to imagine a nicer area to drink real ale and relax in.

I don't visit Sheffield as often as I'd like these days, but when I do, I always end Saturday nights in the Fat Cat. The beer garden has a great atmosphere in the summer and there is a range of real ales and ciders to suit everyone's tastes. During the day, I'd recommend a visit for anyone interested in proper... Good beer, fantastic original little pub. Not that many left, we need to keep these going. Recommend a visit if you like great beer and great atmosphere.

Had drinks there before dinner. The place is very relaxing to have a pint and to enjoy with friends. The neighborhood is very historic and is the area where the industrial revolution began.

The Fat Cat is bang in the middle of one of the best areas in Sheffield for pubs. Great selection of beers, often no room to sit down as it's so popular but who cares? This is authentic Sheffield at its best.
