We had Saturday dinner here to celebrate my father-in-law's 90th Birthday recently and had the whole restaurant (16 places) to ourselves. The menu was specifically created for us. The food was excellent, every dish tasted delicious and the service from Christine and her staff was warm and attentive. After a little bruschetta I had prawn/crayfish starter which tasted lovely and... More

We hired the Cafe for the evening for 60th birthday based on a James Bond thieme. Christine (the owner) entered into the spirit and had set up the bistro beautifully. Met the "birthday boy" outside with a cocktail. We had lovely three course dinner - food delicious and beautifully presented. Take your own wine - only small charge for corkage... More

We popped in on the off chance after a walk around the village and park. For two lovely coffees, a piece of carrot cake, which was bursting with chunks of walnuts and goateed with a delicious frosting, and chocolate cake, served with strawberries and cream, was a bargain still just under £7. Service was efficient and friendly.

Tucked away in a corner of Sheffield is Le Petit Café. With only 15 covers it is an intimate little place run by an authentic and charming Parisienne qui s'appelle Christine. The food is always delicious and the service always courteous but never stuffy. She also does tapas nights on Fridays (book well in advance) and a bistro evening on... More

I agree totally with the C'est terrible review from the Tour evening. The owner did indeed ask us to be patient due to the high numbers, however after two hours we had a right to expect a decent meal for our £30. Her attitude when dealing with the more than justified complaints, was nothing short of rude. Maybe a one off... More

I'm a regular customer and went to this evening with friends. Yes, the outside courtyard dining area was full but we felt it added to the atmosphere. To be fair Christine did announce at the beginning of the evening that the 5-course meal would take time, and it did. But this was to be a French meal , and leisurely... More

We were looking forward to visiting Le Petit Café after reading rave reviews on the internet. We had booked a table for a Tour de France celebration night. The courtyard was nicely decorated but we were surprised at how many tables were crammed into such a small space. This restaurant really failed to deliver. The kitchen simply could not cope... More

My Mum, Sister and myself have lunch here every time we visit Ecclesfield for our hair appointments at the Hairdressers across the road, (our stylist recommended the cafe to us .) We always receive first class service and food. Everything is presented so well, and served by such welcoming staff.

This is a great cafe/restaurant! Lovely service and fantastic food and drink. The freshly squeezed orange juice is especially good! Highly recommend!!!
