Lovely Food

We had a friend's birthday dinner in early April at el Toro. There were ten people in our group and everyone as far as I remember was very satisfied. We had various different Tapas dishes and they were all very lovely! It cost about 25.00 GBP per person including drinks. Great atmosphere and good... read more

I like the fact that the service very good , the food comes out fast , and the portions are large compared to the price , sometimes you can see the chef coming out with tapas and a smile on his face. On weekends all the tables are full !! Making a reservation is a smart move. That night ,... More

Great service. Kind, friendly and attentive staff. The food was excellent and the coffee was delicious! I would definitely recommend El Toro for a place to go with family and friends as it has quite a social air about it. I especially liked the obvious good relationships between the staff and their regulars... And eachother! My friends and i thoroughly... More

I normally visit El Toro during the day and have one of their gorgeous manchego sandwiches or a cheeky slice of cake, I decided to visit on an evening with my boyfriend to try out the tapas menu. It was a great atmosphere and Amy, our waitress, was very attentive to us the whole evening. The tapas was delicious, I... More

Pros: nice darjeeling tea, comfortable enough surroundings, good prices (£3.85 for an 'eat in' sandwich), nice range of sandwiches (quince jam- yum). Cons: service a little terse, no milk provided with the tea until requested, large joint of meat open to the air (more than a little unnerving) and the sandwich was ill-conceived. The bread was crusty, but gave the... More

3 small scallops hidden amongst the salad for £6.50, omelette was good but not one other memorable dish -all bland. Whitebait was returned minus one which seemed to have been soaked in fat and refried. The most disappointing tapas we've had in Sheffield considering the very good reviews. Service was friendly but bill of £70 for 2 adults and 2 children... More

Loved the random selection of things on the menu, made it a bit more interesting than the standard tapas everywhere, good food, lovely staff

Cake and coffes are excellent here as are some of the pork dishes....Been here a quite few times now for lunches the tapas dishes are a little to big for the real tapas but a bit small for an english lunch meal. We have mixed dishes between us but it never gets that loads of little tasters feel. It often... More

Came in for breakfast, the lady who served us (short blondey brown hair) was very accommodating and lovely to our large group and made us breakfasts that were really yummy! Also hot drinks to die for! Better to support your local businesses than go to costa or a chain! They have lovely home made cakes too which I really enjoyed.... More
