Won't Be Going Back

The food is ok but tbh its overpriced and Sheffield has much better and cheaper, the service here isn't great, maybe some customer service training would be a good idea.. All in all lower than average and we won't be back.

Visited in April, four of us. Our friends were perplexed by the continuing title to the restaurant because they know that Jack Baker of Thornbrige has now opened a new restaurant on Ecclesall Road which is top notch - and for sure when you read the review Jack Baker's name may still be on the door but he aint cooking... Went for the Family Carvery. Simply put: bland salty food, poor unenthusiastic service, over heated dining room, bar shut early, over priced and worst of all a poor pint of Jaipur Ale. Couldn't even drink our sorrows away. Better of at a Toby Carvery or local pub it will be better quality at better value

Our daughter sophie had her 21st bday celebrations here on 18th April. What an amazing time from start to finish, Michael, Freya and Carla events management team couldn't have done anymore to help out with preparations. The night was amazing, bar staff amazing, no queuing, dj amazing, Freya and the bar staff looked after us all night, they made everything... More

Certainly didn't live up to it's reputation. Presentation poor. Pork tenderloin was inedible although we did get a small discount. The waitress was good but didn't make up for the general air of unproffesiolism. Nearly empty on a Saturday night sums it up. We won't be going back.

Visited for the Valentine's dinner. Really nice food and excellent atmosphere. Good service and amazing price at £25 per head for 4 courses and a half bottle of wine. Also visited for dinner in the week and sunday dinner. Both also really good although not as cheap. Still very good and impressed my well dined Australian living sister. Excellent.

This used to be a wonderful hotel/restaurant in a beautiful building, however, Brewkitchen took over & the standards have gone. After an awful experience (2 1/2 hour wait for dry inedible food) we were give vouchers as an apology. We came back mid week & gave them another chance thinking that on a quiet eve the service would be better.... More
