Awesome

The roast roe deer is just lovely, the starters were massive and all of the food was just brilliantly cooked. The staff are friendly, it's a cute little pub and you can easily go for a walk afterwards for some fresh air!

I booked a meal here after recommendations but they were from people that had visited a while ago. I read the recent reviews on Trip Advisor and was a little concerned but took the risk as my booking was short notice. The staff were friendly enough and keen to please , however , the food was just about average. Being... More

There was a large group of us and we were late but the staff were gracious and unflappable. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. Would definitely go back

What a great experience! Just how service should be. We arrived as a large party of 14 (late lunchtime sat) to be welcomed warmly with a smile. Once they had rearranged some furniture to accomodate us they took our drinks order which arrived promptly. Having struggled to decide which great option to go for we placed our multiple variying orders.... More

Was there as a group of young families on a Sunday afternoon. The manager and staff catered really well, the food and services was excellent. The range of ales was pretty good too. My only issue was the men's toilets in that there was no soap and the hot water tap was locked off for whatever reason. Easily fixed I'd... More

We were a group of 14 adults and 6 children! A pubs worst nightmare, I'm sure. There was plenty of parking and the pub itself is in a lovely setting. The staff had planned ahead and gave us the run of their light and spacious conservatory and made us feel very welcome. We all had mains and puds and were... More

We visited the Bladebone with a large party and had a fantastic time. The food was delicious and served extremely promptly and the bucklebury fried chicken is to die for! I was advised on the wine list and had a delicious glass of something that I certainly wouldn't have thought to order myself. Puddings were great - not too big... More

The Bladebone Inn stood out to us as a really welcoming pub which we'll definitely visit again. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunches and the service was excellent. The Bucklebury fried chicken was delicious and had a tasty spice to it which was well balanced with the Asian salad. It was well presented and a very generous portion... More

My other half took me here for valentines it was highly recommended. He rung them to book and to inform them i was celiac. They reassured him i could be catered for however, on entering the building we were both very disappointed with the seating area. it looked like a school hall set out for an exam, The staff were... Visited this pub for the first time with a party of people. The menu changed from what we had agreed for the fish course. The whole 'plaice' was very unpleasant had a very pungent smell really poorly presented as well. a lot of us couldn't stomach. The smell was awful. One lady tried to ask for it to be cooked... More
