The quintessential English Village Pub - although this one is actually owned by the villagers themselves! Very good English Food, we particularly enjoyed the Steak Pudding. Good variety of dishes on the menu. Lovely old Pub,beams etc. Draught ales and good wine list. First visit for quite a while - but will definitely go again soon!

Bought a Groupon voucher tried to book on numerous occasion!!! Did not return any calls and now to do not want to honour their deal finding rubbish excuses. Not surprise that the place look a shamble if they can commit to their own deal made on their on terms to advertise their business, this us a flop marketing speaking.

Came here for lunch with the groupon deal. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for a Friday lunch maybe it's because of the location. We were given the menu and was advised by the male waiter the groupon deal includes a starter and main course upto the value as per voucher. We had to pay the difference if the menu choice... More

We have been here a few times. The food is consistently high quality, tasty and suitable for a family celebration. However, it is reasonably priced and we have also turned up in walking boots and eaten in the bar . The staff are very cheerful and friendly and the service is good too.

We have been having sunday lunch here for quite some time and it is always excellent--both service and food.-- a rare combination these days Often take friends who enjoy as much as we do. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Dora is a star and a wonderful host

I stayed here for 1 night in September for business and what a lovely little find it was. This pub with rooms is set in a quiet little village just a few miles from Reading. It looks like your typical country pub from the outside. Inside I found a warm, friendly welcome, a cosy pub/restaurant and a lovely modern room.... More

We viisted this restaurant with a Groupon Voucher the night after it changed ownership. I would describe the food as high quality pub food, however, the menu was varied and the quality of the food was excellent, my wife particularly enjoyed the liver and bacon. The new management appeared to be trying hard to please their clientele and we will defintely... More

The restuarant appeared to be up and coming but our experiance with a party of 9 was very disappointing. The service was dreadful as we had to wait 1.5 hours to be served. this was eventually explained away as they had not received one of our orders in the kitchen. We were told many times before we were eventually served... More
