First class brasserie - maybe the best food in Reading

I am a regular at the Brasserie and its sister restaurant The Crooked Billet. The Brasserie is simply the best place to eat in Central Reading. The menu is innovative and the cooking is first-class. I have never had a dish there that was anything less than great. The waterside location is a bonus... read more

Been to London street on many occasions and this was a first visit back for quite some time, as usual the food was perfect, great lamb dish and fantastic monk fish, lovely cheese board and the best bloody Mary's you will find in Reading. A lovely early evening meal sharing a nice bottle of Rioja with outstanding service. If you... More

Very good food in a nice environment (although noisy on this particular occasion). Waitresses are particularly nice and efficient! Recommended.

The atmosphere is very good and the staff are excellent. Fine food and sensible prices make this a popular venue for my wife, our friends and me.

I have eaten at LSB on 8 occasions in the past 2 years and have never had a bad meal. It does get very busy and you can wait for a while between courses but the food is always good. The venison is a particular favourite as is the salt and pepper squid.

We have eaten here at lunchtime twice in a few weeks. Both times we were impressed by the cooking and by the service. Good modern British food done with panache, and at prices that won't break the bank. recommended.

LSB is a great treat for special occasions, more expensive than other places nearby but completely worth if you are celebrating.

Lovely good quality food, excellent service. Food served with excellent timing - not rushed and the wait was just right between courses. Will certainly be going back.

Really enjoyed the food and the wine, but for some reason, the waitress was a little unfriendly on this visit. Not really sure why. The food came out quite quickly as well. We didn't feel rushed, but just a little too fast for a weekend lunch. Beautiful food as usual though, well presented and delicious.
