This is probably the best restaurant in Reading. And if it's not, it's my favourite! Good selection of food and wines, relaxed atmosphere and unfussy but attentive service. And the prices are very reasonable. Great for business or leisure. What is there not to like?

I´m always quite suspicious about places called "brasserie" in UK. The London St Brasserie is no exception, as it focuses on the style more than a brasserie in France does : already at the entry it seems you´re going to a private party or checking in in a hotel (the cards are not for the restaurant but for the managers... Stumbled across this stylish eatery and so glad we did! Two course set menu excellent value: colours and flavours were fantastic. Set off with a cheeky kir royale.

I met here for lunch with a friend. You have to have a booking, which we fortunately had, as the restaurant quickly filled up and the became rather noisy. The menu is long, with a list of specials. The food was good, as I have found on my previous visits. Well worth a visit.

Came here with my work colleagues for a little work do. The service was spot on with our waitress being so attentive and constantly checking on empty glasses. Our food arrived all together and on time, hot and well presented. The plates were cleared in good time and again our waitress was superb with her service. We all had alcohol... More

I have dined at LSB on numerous occasions over the years and the experience remains consistently high. The food is simple, well cooked British fare and thoroughly enjoyable in an excellent atmosphere. I recently had a business lunch here and we both chose from the excellent set menu which contained some really nice dishes. The welcome is always warm, the... More

I visited this place yesterday for Sunday lunch, given the rave reviews on Trip Advisor. The roast potatoes and gravy were nice, but that's where it ended. Yorkshire pudding was nicely risen, but lacked any flavour. The beef looked nice, but was *incredibly* chewy. Cauliflower Cheese was a disgrace - cauliflower was raw and unseasoned and the sauce had totally... More

It's clearly not the cheapest place in town but you certainly get what you pay for and the fact it was packed midweek is a clear sign people know this. I had the parfait for a starter and it's a little harsh here. I've had parfait in a few places but this one you definitely need the accompanying chutney to... More

We couldn't decide on whether to have Sunday lunch out or have tea and a cake somewhere and then eat later - vote was for eat now, and then I remembered the LSB. Haven't been for 5 years but had seen the menu online. Absolutely brilliant, as walk-ins got a table straight away and it looks to have been recently... More
