Been twice and twice found it excellent

I've been twice in the space of a few weeks. Once with my partner and again with family. The service was great, food top notch and a pleasant atmosphere. The set menu is excellent value for money. Will go again and would recommend.

Lovely place for a reasonably priced lunch with friends. Service was good without being over the top. Food and wine was very good and excellent value. Reading needs more nice restaurants like this. We will definitely return soon.

We revisited last night not having been for quite a while and were very pleased that the quality and choice was still as good as we remembered. The Lamb Sweetbreads were tasty as was the Venison and haggis and washed down with my favourite Chilean Cabernet. Service was not 'in your face' but was attentive. All in all, it's just... More

Third time I have eaten here, third time the food has been outstanding as well as the service. It is a touch more expensive than the other restaurants in the area, however I'm more than happy to pay that premium for the elevated food and service compared to other restaurant in the area.

Huge ethanolic party wonderfully catered for. Most of the food and wine of a very high standard. The Casino next door took the rest of my money!!

My husband and I ate here on 13th Feb for our valentine's meal (we like to go out early). We had a sitting from 7-9pm. The welcome was genuine and we were seated upstairs quickly. We picked out a bottle of reserve rioja - very tasty. My husband had salt & pepper squid to start, I had the scallops -... More

Went with the family for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday and had a great night. The food was excellent and all the staff were very attentive, which helped to make the evening special. Will certainly go again soon.

We ended up eating here having some how had two bookings in different restaurants at the same time! The service was excellent, food good (as ever) and wine list reasonably priced. Only complaint revolves around the booking when they were insistent we had a 7-9pm "slot" - a bit of an early start for Friday dinner, and the notion of... More

My daughter and my husband took me to the London Street. brassier for my birthday on Saturday lunch time. We were warmly greeted and shown to a table by the window. We had the set lunch menu 2 courses for £16.95. There was a good choice of starters and mains, I had the smoked salmon followed by the Tuscany lamb... More
