Ate here with friends. All 8 of us had wonderful starters and mains. The chef was happy to accommodate two of us who wanted our dishes tweaked a little. My starter was amazingly full of fresh authentic flavours (spring roll with scallops and prawn). My main- rump of lamb, was perfectly cooked, tasty, and the wild rice and mushrooms were seasoned... My favourite restaurant ever. Cannot fault it! Always sing it's praises and converted many to eating here for a lunch of the most amazing value. Just bring back the eggs benedict please. I miss this dish!

The good points: Atmosphere, serving staff, soufflé starter, soufflé pudding. The negatives: I had a poor main (Chinese style pork) and husband a dull pudding, so each had one disappointing course. I would rate the cooking as sound to good. Menu reads a little better than the reality, but is still better than average. Overall costs mount up though, and... More

This was an exceptional experience. First time I'm Reading and would recommend this to anymore. The atmosphere was quite, relaxed and comfortable. The food was great. One of us had the roast beef, portion size large, another salmon a little on the small size. The bread sampler was great.

Wonderful view of the ducks paddling up the Kennet River, friendly attentive service and great food! All the dishes were carefully crafted and brilliantly executed. The macaroons with apple-toffee filling were particularly memorable. RDB Montreal 16/11/2014

We visited the Brasserie for a lunch treat. It's very handy for the shops, and a nice room but it was noisy because of a couple of tables of business lunchers. Once they had gone it was a lot more pleasant and we could hear each other talk. The food was great. Worth the money and very enjoyable. Especially the... More

Visited London St Brasserie for the first time for my girlfriends birthday, both our meals were tasty and not hugely expensive (I say this as I thought the steak with pretty much no sides didn't seem good enough value for money when you think about the actual cost of a few chips which are priced at £3.50) anyway, we had...
