Lovely Place to Dine

We sat near a window overlooking the canal. It was very pretty. The food was wonderful. They do a tremendous Sunday roast. A very nice place to sit and relax.

Poor food portions, poor taste, service poncy and they put their own tip on your bill. I wouldn't waste your money going here when there are far better places to eat on the riverside.

I visited London Street Brasserie last Saturday with 5 others. We all enjoyed the 2 course lunch menu which offers excellent food at a good price. For a set menu the options and choice was very good thus providing something for everyone. Our waiter was very attentive without being overbearing and fully deserved the 10% service charge automatically added to... More

I used to eat in this restaurant a lot with work, my friends and my partner and the food/service was always outstanding. However after holding a charity event (which they refused to donate any kind of voucher or anything for when I nicely approached them explaining that I was a very loyal customer) I decided to give my custom to... Took my partner here for her birthday, and despite starters being not as expected we both had a lovely meal. I ordered the chicken liver parfait which had a strong alcohol taste in it. I don't drink alcohol so had the menu said this I would not have ordered it. My partner had the smoked haddock croquette which a bit... More

Came to Reading for a day trip but with a dinner reservation here. The weather outside was horrendous but LSB was fantastic! Brilliant service from being seated til we received the bill. Food was fantastic. My husbands rabbit dish was the best he'd had in a long while. The chocolate torte is a must if you have a sweet tooth!... More

I really enjoyed dinner here on a recent Friday night. The atmosphere was relaxed, we had a great table by the window on the first floor. The service was good although once the restaurant got busy the few people they had serving seemed a little stretched. All in all the food was good with the rhubarb macaroons a great way... More

Pros: Food was delicious and service was incredible! Cons: None! Had a roast beef dinner and was lovely. The food is cooked perfectly and the service is great. For dessert, my husband had baked Alaska but unfortunately the chef had left a bit of baking parchment in it! The problem was solved and we were served complimentary tea/coffee and macarons!... Went with work colleagues in 2007 and again yesterday. Good choice of delicious food plus excellent service makes this yet again the place to visit when in Reading. No problem parking and nice walk to the venue - another thoroughly enjoable experience had by all.
