Pepe Sale is a lovely, family run Italian restaurant, the chef makes the pasta in the front of the restaurant, the specials are always a treat, the menu has something for everyone. Well worth a visit whether for a delicious bowl of pasta or a big family celebration.

This is a lovely neighbourhood Italian restaurant whose brilliant food and warm friendly service outshine it's setting in a 1970s office development. The food is Sicklinghall with daily specials and a well formed primary menu. Good fish & meat dishes and seriously excellent pasta. A great wine list and very friendly and informative staff headed by the charismatic Marco. I... More

My partner and I ate here tonight on a last minute whim. What a brilliant choice. Owner and staff are amazing; friendly hardworking and knowledgeable. It had a great atmosphere - although extremely busy you were never rushed. The food was absolutely delicious. If you can go on a Friday of Saturday night you have to have the suckling piglet.... Having lived in Reading for many years, and being Italian myself, I can simply tell that this is far the best place to eat Italian in town (and probably in the whole of Berkshire). Employees are also very friendly and help you choose the best option on the menu, without being pushy. A must-go for food-lovers in Reading!

Visited with colleagues from all around the globe. Everyone enjoyed the wine, the food and the lively conversation with the host. The meze for the table was nice. I had veal chop which was succulent and just rightly done. The accompanying vegetable was also well done.

Visited this restaurant a couple of nights ago with family. The restaurant is run by a couple of Italian gentlemen who have a good knowledge of food and wines and are friendly and happy to take time to talk to you. What made the experience better is that the owners worked the restaurant and served the customers instead of several... More

After hearing so many fantastic recommendations for Pepe Sale I finally got the chance to sample their food. I have to be honest and say I found the prices fairly expensive for this restaurant and whilst the food was nice, for me it didn't live up to the hype. I would go back but there are other restaurants I

Ate here on a Saturday night with friends. It's a Sicilian restaurant which is unusual. Greeting at the door was pleasant. The food is a bit expensive (£7 to £8 for a starter) but very nice apart from my soup which was microwaved and, as a result, had that over-boiled taste. Main courses were better - most of us had...
