We drove past this venue and reversed because it looked inviting and busy - always a good sign. It was warm and sunny so we sat outdoors in comfortable arm chairs. The service was quick and we enjoyed the steak and ale pie - yes, I agree it was 'a stew with slices of pastry', but it was tasty and... More

I have visited this restaurant many times since it re-opened under new ownership in June - the first being Father's day and I have to say that we have never had a disappointing meal - the food always excellent, the main menu has some wonderful starters and main courses but also watch out for the daily special's. I visited with... More

The Spring Inn looks lovely and I've been meaning to go there for a long time. I wish I hadn't bothered. I felt continually rushed by staff, my drink was whipped away before I could protest and the food was unimpressive, steak stew with two bits of pastry, does not make a pie!

Having passed the restaurant and seeing how busy it was, we decided to give it a try. The food was very average, but the prices were not. To charge extra for vegetables in this day and age is unacceptable. When the bill was presented, we were asked for any feed back on our evening. We commented on the vegetable charges,... More

Very buzzy atmosphere (Friday night) so sometimes difficult to hear(!) but good attentive staff and swift service. Food excellent - there were 8 of us and each starter and main course was excellent. The special Scallop and Risotto was superb!

Recently visited the revamped Spring Inn, loved there decor, light and airy yet welcoming. The starter of brie with a side salad was very nice the dressing on the salad was very tasty, my partner had the calamari which was a bit chewy, when we mentioned this they instantly said they would not charge us for that, for mains I... Recently went for a meal at the newly refurbished Spring Inn. Well worth the wait, as the decor is delightful. We were warmly greeted and well looked after by all the staff. Each of us (there were four of us) chose a different starter and main course, and without exception, all were excellent. Very good prices too. Would certainly recommend... More

Went to the Spring Inn this lunchtime with my 97 year old Mum to celebrate her birthday. We had a lovely time. The food was extremely good and well presented and served by friendly and knowledgable staff. When they found out it was her birthday the desert arrived with a lit candle in it and she felt very special. Will... More
