Decent Carvery - Really good value!

I have only ever had the Roast Dinner (Carvery), and over 4 years have never been disappointed. It's substantial, tasty and cheap; £4.30 for a roast dinner, you can't beat it. Usually its quite busy, however when its quiet I tend to go for pork/turkey because beef dries out more quickly. Raymond... read more

Me and my husband have been for lunch here twice and found the food was very nice. The service was excellent and the pub had a friendly atmosphere Raymond who served at the Carvery was friendly and took time to speak to us. The waitress and bar staff were also friendly I would recommend this place for a fast and... More

Been here a few times now. The pub itself can be a bit roudy and loud, but the restaurant seating area is fine. It's a really good, family friendly environment, with courteous staff and a nice atmosphere. The food is really good value for money, especially during the week. Good choice of meat, pie and sausages. I've not tried the... More

Busy pub but a very good carvery at a great price. Choice of three meats, Gammon, Turkey and Beef all cooked really well. Reasonable choice of veg and the usual roasties finished off with great gravy and a choice of condiments. Plenty of lagers to choose from but a bit short of beer on draught.

Food either overdone or underdone (cauliflower). I have had a few Crown Carverys and there do vary. I won't be going back to this one but it did seem popular. Bacon and sausages used which were left over from Breakfast.

The price of the food was very good but the standard was poor. The nachos should have come with sour cream rather than mayonnaise. Didn't risk the cheap breakfast.

We walked over to the pub for an early dinner after our whole day meeting nearby. Food including the carvery was really good and in abundance. Cost less than £8 per person which included dessert.
