I've been twice there, but I definitely had a fantastic breakfast. Go for the croissants. The place is enchanting.
Finding the Jericho Cafe, in the daytime, friendly and informal, I was anxious about booking an evening meal for 14, many of them overseas guests, wanting somewhere modest, not too expensive and quiet enough to hear ourselves speak (there's so much clatter as well as too-loud music in many places). I needn't have worried. I exchanged several e-mails with Ruth... More
My husband and I have enjoyed going to the Jericho Café for the past 10 Years and we are always made to feel welcome. Great breakfast, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and the kids love the cakes. Definitely recommend the Jericho Café at any time of day.
I had horrible experience in this place, food was low quality and very overpriced! Dirty and crowded place. Usually I don't write on pages like this, but decided to do that just to warn people fro going there. After visit had food poison. My previous review was removed for some reason. There is nothing in this place to deserve an... More

We always love coming here. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed --- there's a full restaurant menu and table service but it remains a cafe, with excellent coffee, a lot of yummy cakes, and wi-fi. You can come and work away an afternoon on your laptop or, as we often do, come as a family... More
We agree, marmite is a must!! :-)) More
very good coffee, great breakfasts and pastries, some interesting lunches, free newspapers, great atmosphere. Downstairs is a little claustrophobic, but upstairs is very pleasant
Thank you very much for your review and your positive feedback - we are very pleased you like our cafe and hope to see you again soon. More
The food was great, atmosphere is every earthy, the desserts and croissants are delicious! Had breakfast here at least 4 times during my stay in Oxford. Lovely breakfast specials!
We are so pleased you enjoyed your meals at the cafe on your recent trip to Oxford. Happy customers make it all worthwhile. More
We always visit the Jericho when we're up in Oxford- its food is consistently good, and it's always full of animated people and friendly staff. You can really taste the difference between the quality of their breakfasts (free-range eggs, butcher's sausages, REAL tomatoes!) etc, -and other people's. And how many cafes cheerfully serve "eggs any style" ? The coffee's great,... More
I used to frequent the Jericho Café regularly whilst living in Oxford. Returning for a brief visit I had time for dinner there. It has lost none of its easy going ambience. The service is good, the waitresses charming, and the food excellent. If you have an afternoon hour to spare it is ideal - there is a choice of... More
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are really pleased you enjoyed your recent visit to the cafe as much as you first and thankful we are still doing something right after all these years! More
We popped in last Friday for an early dinner, we were really hungry since we were just having something to eat at 4 in the afternoon, after an early flight to UK. I had the falafel and homous pita, which was great and my husband had the Cumberland sausage. Staff very friendly, cozy place and good prices. We needed a... More
