Following a conference and visit to Botanic Garden, went to very close-by La Cucina for a meal with delegates. Much enjoyed. Friendly staff worked hard and delivered on chosen items from menu very efficiently. Will probably be going back if in Oxford and needing a meal. (Good also for the Park and Ride bus afterwards from stop very close to... More

Visited La Cucina for the first time last night, and was was impressed by the quick, friendly service, the value for money, and the dishes we had. Two of had wine, a starter to share, a pasta main, and pizza main. Both left very full! Good value for money at less than £35.00 for both of us. Would go again... More

Trying to find a venue suitable for a large group of up to 30 people is always problematic but La Cucina did an excellent job as their party menu choices enabled everyone to find something they were happy with (apart from one elderly American man who did not understand exactly what he had ordered but did end up enjoying it).... A small friendly restaurant, with charming staff, tasty food, and good ambience. Not expensive, and fine if you are a solo diner.

Four of us ate here and chose from the specials board which featured dishes from Puglia in southern Italy. We shared a couple of starters - one based on burrata, a lovely creamy mozzarella cheese, and the other a flatbread with potatoes and tomatoes. All four of us had the same main course served in one large pan - a... More

Relaxed setting and authentic food. The specials are always seasonally appropriate. The pizzas are delicious. Wine list recommendations: Vermentino for white and Nero d'Avola red (both under £20).

visited this local Italian restaurant this evening with family. What a disappointment! Menu very average, food mediocre and the staff totally uninterested in giving service. Don't waste your money going here especially with family. For a really good Italian restaurant try Branka in Jerico.

We went as a foursome on a busy saturday night. The restaurant was not fully booked but it was busy and very noisy. The atmosphere was nice though despite the noise levels. I like the way you can watch the chefs at work, it adds to the atmosphere and gives confidence. We shared two veggie antipasti platters which were very... More

Small and inviting, near sidewalk dining. Delicious Italian food served by a very attentive staff. Good menu variety and a reasonably broad wine list. Reserve if you can for later evening dining. Restaurant is small and could get crowded.
