Ladies Lunch

This was only the second time I have eaten Thai food and I was a little apprehensive. One of our party had eaten here several times and, with the help of our very helpful waitress, guided me towards a delicious meal. My dish was a venison base and the meat was tender with the sauce being aromatic... read more

This is a charming Thai restaurant in an historic building in Oxford just off High Street and up the stairs. Wait staff are absolutely top notch and food delicious. I had the vegetables with peanut sauce and wanted to lick the plate. Can't wait to go back.

What more can I say? I have been coming to Chiang Mai regularly for the past 10 years, and it is a wonderful restaurant. It is hands-down my favourite in Oxford. The food is outstanding, sumptuous, and delicious. And it isn't only my taste buds that are satisfied - the portions are generous, and I never leave without feeling comfortably... More

The food was good but I did not feel that it was worth $130 for 3 people... yes you read that right, $130! 3 meals, 3 beers, 1 water, and 1 appetizer was all it took to add up to that price. The appetizer that we ordered was very tasty, it consisted of a chicken satay, spring rolls, shrimp, and... More

Not worth the price though the portion size is good. Had better thai in Bath for 30% less nearly. The building is not impressive.

I hesitate to recommend this, because it's such a favourite. Really good food, friendly people, and a lovely building hidden away right in the centre of town. A haven. Thank you to the staff for years of pleasure!

This is the place to go for outstanding Thai cuisine in Oxford...perhaps the best I've ever had anywhere (I'm from the U.S.). Charming, tucked away restaurant off High Street. The curries are To Die For. Be sure to order plenty of rice. Blooming teas are a fun addition.

We last dined here 8 years ago, when we visited Oxford regularly. We booked for 5.30pm for pre-theatre dinner. It wasn't quite as good as it used to be. I chose Miang Kam from their Specials Menu, which were tasty, but I wasn't expecting them to be cold. My friend he Khao Pod Tod, which were standard sweetcorn cakes. To... More

This restaurant is tucked behind the high street and we literally just stumbled on it. We didn't have a reservation but we were squeezed in. I had number 1 for starters which was really disappointing, I imagined it to be hot, but it was very cold including the phase which indicated it was pre prepared and played, very disappointing. I... We went back to Chang Mai recently. We found the food much improved over our last visit & thoroughly enjoyed all our dishes. I felt completely harrassed by the waiting staff however who came up approx every minute from when we sat down until we had ordered.
