Not the best Thai in town.

Went here on the back of extremely positive reviews. It's a bit of a boring looking place and the food is just OK. Think it was probably cool when it was one of very few Thai places, but the competition makes it look a bit shabby. Meh.

This is a truly special place, tucked away off The High... I have visited countless times - as a local, with business, with friends, and now when I return on trips back down memory lane... I have never been disapppointed... Solo dining - early evening, big party with friends and colleagues, business meeting and romantic meal.... Perfect food and atmosphere... More

Myself and my partner have been coming to Chiang Mai Kitchen for sometime now and it never fails to disappoint! The food is just perfect (especially the pad thai) and I was very pleased to see that they had sweet sticky rice and mango on their special dessert menu as it is my favourite!! The service was lovely as usual... More

Booked a table for 5 at 21:30 at Chiang Mai on Saturday 7th of March to celebrate my brothers birthday and was a terrible experience. We arrived promptly and were told by one of the waiters that our table was not quite ready but would be in 5 minutes. It is a very crowded restaurant so we were left to... More

This place offers a unique range of traditional thai flavours. Dishes take you to the land of green papaya. Salads are fresh and delicious as well as prawns.

This experience can be described as average. The food was reasonable, served hot and at a steady pace. On entry there was a strange smell which meant we almost went somewhere else. Basically the place and staff could be smartened up. It's a lovely old building which with a bit of thought could offer a comfortable and intimate atmosphere. The... More

I am a regular visitor to Oxford and have eaten here on several occasions over many years. It has generally delivered, but on Saturday lunchtime I was disappointed, mainly because my food was not hot. It was served in cold dishes to be transferred onto a cold plate, and the food itself was only tepid. The service otherwise was fine.... More

Slightly unusual location didn't bother us, we were there for the food. Which, unfortunately, was pretty average. Tasteless fried tofu starter, calamari from a tin - at £7 a pop quite pricey for starters. We then had a Beef Massaman which was reasonably well-cooked, if a little mild. Pad Thai was, again, ok. Maybe for Oxford this is a great standard... More
