Lovely spicy food. Great service

Had dinner here last night. Delicious starter although my friends was heavy on fresh raw ginger which made it very hot. Great service, water brought and replenished without us asking. Mains were delicious and portion sizes just right. Would certainly eat here again. Service charge was added to the... read more

Well this is a regular haunt when in Oxford, asked the serving staff to choose a mixed dish meal based on the chefs recommendations, for three of us, we were not disappointed! Lovely ambience, old building, patient service. We will be back!

...And not a funny one! DO GO: if you live on air; if you like the sound of toilet activity as you eat; or if you can wait several hours to be served. DON'T GO: if you want to eat anything. I don't think I've ever had a worse 'dining' experience. I say 'dining' because I didn't actually get to... More

We used to be regulars of Chiang Mai Kitchen and although the dishes are pricey the service and quality of the food would make up for it. Tonight we experienced the most unfriendly service ever by the Asian women serving us. No welcome, no smile, not helpful when asking questions and her attitude proposed that SHE is doing US a... Went here after shopping with the family. The setting is in a lovely old historic building which is explained in the front of the menu. The menu is very reasonably priced, service is very friendly and the food very good quality and lovely flavours. The satay were beef and chicken which were nice for a change and the Calimari was... Stayed in Oxford with my hubby and as the pair of us love Thai food we decided to give this place a go. I am so glad we did. Food was delicious!!! The place is a bit hard to find because you have to go down a side street then in the building up the stairs but it's worth it.... More

this is a proper thai restaurant not an anglicised version - excellent food, good service, very good value - gets a bit overcrowded but nice and buzzy - upstairs tables normally nicer - a bit more room - I try to visit when I'm in oxford - on the highstreet so nice and central - a bit tucked away down... We used to live in Oxford and this was our favourite Thai restaurant at the time. I just had the opportunity to return for a day and therefore went back to see if it was still as excellent as a few years ago. I was not disappointed. The food is superb and the beautiful historic building is a perfect setting.

Been coming here for about 15 years now and always found it reliably delicious. Tasty, light, well presented food in a wonderful old building and pleasant staff.

The restaurant is located in a small alleyway right off High street (close to Cornmarket street) and may be tricky to find. They had a few good vegetarian choices. Thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom soup. Also had a vegetarian Pad Thai and a red curry.
