Nostalgic Visit

We last dined here 8 years ago, when we visited Oxford regularly. We booked for 5.30pm for pre-theatre dinner. It wasn't quite as good as it used to be. I chose Miang Kam from their Specials Menu, which were tasty, but I wasn't expecting them to be cold. My friend he Khao Pod Tod, which were... read more

This restaurant is tucked behind the high street and we literally just stumbled on it. We didn't have a reservation but we were squeezed in. I had number 1 for starters which was really disappointing, I imagined it to be hot, but it was very cold including the phase which indicated it was pre prepared and played, very disappointing. I... We went back to Chang Mai recently. We found the food much improved over our last visit & thoroughly enjoyed all our dishes. I felt completely harrassed by the waiting staff however who came up approx every minute from when we sat down until we had ordered.

For me, the best Thai in town. Excellent Pad-Thai, delicious soup (tom yum) and very very tasty curry. Great portions, and good value for money (I know some complain about its costs, but I find it legitimate for the big amount of food you get). It is always a pleasure to eat here

We visited on a Friday evening as a group of five and were very impressed with the building and the general atmosphere of the restaurant. It is right in the centre of Oxford, set slightly back in a little lane away from the main street. The staff were very helpful in recommending dishes from the very varied menu and we... More

This is my favourite thai restaurant in Oxford and probably the best chicken green curry I have ever had! The interior is stylised and very cosy. A must!

A really nice Thai place located in the lovely building. Good Thai tea selection. Food is authentic but a little pricier than the Thai place right next to it. Love their Pad Thai..spicy and great portion. Couldn't say much about the service though.

This is down a rather scary lane esp at night. We did not have a reservation but were fortunately early as it filled up quickly after us on a weekday night so clearly has a popular local clientele. Previous reviews severely criticised the slow service, but we were promptly seated upstairs and despite the small rooms, we did not feel... More

Booked a table and had specifically asked for the upstairs section. Arrived and were given the worst table in the restaurant (right next to the toilets - smell and plenty of people passing by) so asked to be moved. Took about 20 mins as they seemed to be seating people without bookings upstairs in the nicer area but eventually we... More

first of all, let me start with the food. It was FABULOUS (for Thai food in the UK). In fact, it's the best I've had in my 1.5 years of living in the country, even better than what I've had in London. The service, however, was another story. Most of the staff was extremely kind, but very hard to get... More
