Our 2013 transformation remains loyal to Gee’s traditions of providing quality food & service in the most beautiful restaurant in Oxford. Whether flooded with mid-morning sunlight or under Oxford’s evening sky, Gee’s is the place to enjoy exceptional food in unique surroundings. The tables on the outdoor terrace are surrounded by the dense foliage of topiary & potted plants – & if you like the plants, some are available for sale. The new interior is filled with trees, new furniture, soft colours & lighting.Of course the important aspect of the new Gee’s is the cooking. A brand new kitchen incorporates a wood fired oven & a charcoal grill; food acknowledges the continued interest in the origin of ingredients, seasonality & the variety & abundance of local Oxfordshire produce.Gee’s remains the place in Oxford to enjoy a fabulous meal. There are dishes for sharing & dishes in two sizes to suit different appetites & times of the day. Expect great food to suit every occasion, served by knowledgeable & friendly waiters, in this beautiful, iconic glasshouse in North Oxford.

Excellent food and great staff - good Gluten Free

We went for my birthday on a weekend away in Oxford - best meal we had here better than a couple of the places in the top 50 rated I'm a Coeliac so gluten free (health need not fad diet) and they had a separate menu (though on further discussion the pork with be removed as they couldn't guarantee... read more

my wife and I came here for dinner for our anniversary, and we're not disappointed. Great menu, well cooked at good prices. The best feature of this place though is the ambience: it's got a buzz but isn't crowded. Ask for a seat in the conservatory.

My boyfriend and I visited Oxford for my birthday and read some reviews on Gee's before booking. It didn't disappoint. We were very happy with the standard of food and service and the outdoor style conservatory was fantastic! We ordered the burger and also the steak dish for mains and both were equally as delicious. I would return if ever... More

- Brunch on weekends are only for 1 hour and 45 minutes. - Totally spoiled a risotto with onions on vinegar on its top... Why? You don't know, but you pay 14 pounds for it. - They even don't know how to make a proper Bloody Mary. It's the worst one I've ever have - The only good things are... More

The restaurant is in a quaint residential area away from the bustle of the city center, yet just 10 minutes or so walking distance. Very nice. The restaurant itself is very attractive from the outside and the entrance and outdoor seating areas are surrounded by beautiful, well kept plants, both with flowers and herbs, just a wonderful sight. The interior... More

Three of us had lunch one Saturday at Gees and had a very pleasant afternoon there. We were in the conservatory, sitting in comfy seats and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. Service was very good, not too intrusive. We were given bread to dip in oil to start with and were given extra oil when we asked for it. We all... More

We had Sunday lunch at Gee's. Excellent service in a very pleasant surrounding. Be advised to book early as the restaurant gets very busy at peak times. The resaurant was very busy and my only one criticism is the food could have been a little hotter. Certainly worth a visit.

This is a difficult one to review - the conservatory setting is lovely, but the food is nothing special to write about. Spacious, light and clean, the restaurant has a great feel, especially for lunch. The entrance passage-way, down the side of the restaurant, is enchanting, lined with terracotta pots, plants and tasteful ornaments. When we visited in March this... More

Perhaps it is my 'age' - but when I go out for a meal I do like to be able to talk to my friends, and not shout - or attempt to lip read. It all started well, good service, good ambience, good food and then a party of 20 came in, and the whole evening altered. Gee's is in... More

Gees is in a wonderful Victorian greenhouse that has been skilfully and beautifully refurbished. The setting is magical and it is worth going there just to see the style and elegance of the surroundings. Someone here has a wonderful eye. Sadly, they do not have a matching palate. The concepts behind the menu are interesting but the execution is poor.... More
