I can't believe that until Thursday night I had never been to Gee's in 5+ years living in Oxford. It was just a wonderful experience. Set in a converted Victorian conservatory with olive trees, shelves of lush plants and atmospheric lighting, the venue itself is magical, romantic and cosy. The food is fantastic; a concise selection of thoughtfully put-together dishes.... More

I had the rabbit and was disappointed. It came as a rolled, stuffed and sliced joint and was nicely cooked but there was a lot of gristle and tendons. I think rabbit is better in a casserole so would not choose this again. Food not as good as I've had in the past.

Went with friends on a Saturday night and was impressed with the ambience and the limited but delicious meal choices. We have found it better to have limited extremely well executed dishes than a vast choice and poor quality. The service was excellent and the timings of the courses perfect. Well worth a visit

We took a chance, not having made a reservation, and were seated very quickly. The staff are excellent, friendly and personable, and the menu varied and the dishes offered are varied and delicious! The Black Bream is superb! The Pollock likewise. The orange and chocolate mousse is to die for!! We will certainly be back for more of the menu

Booked a table for a Saturday evening. The place was heaving and a very buzzy atmosphere. The setting is good and the food was excellent. The menu is limited but the quality is very good and it is also very good value. Would recommend a visit.

The food was tasty and good value for money. The menu was set for that day but it still offered us a good choice.

A short walk along Banbury Road and you'll find Gees. Set in an Victorian glass house you'll find good service and we'll cooked food with very nice flavour combinations. A lovely room well set and comfortable with good menus options. I had the sea bream which was very good.

The ambience was just right; tasteful decorations; no hideously loud music on a loop; civilised and attentive service; and the food was delicious. There was a good range of choices including vegetarian options, and excellent deserts. The wine list is also excellent and a reasonable selection of malts to end the meal. The experience began with a glass of prosecco,... More
