Our 2013 transformation remains loyal to Gee’s traditions of providing quality food & service in the most beautiful restaurant in Oxford. Whether flooded with mid-morning sunlight or under Oxford’s evening sky, Gee’s is the place to enjoy exceptional food in unique surroundings. The tables on the outdoor terrace are surrounded by the dense foliage of topiary & potted plants – & if you like the plants, some are available for sale. The new interior is filled with trees, new furniture, soft colours & lighting.Of course the important aspect of the new Gee’s is the cooking. A brand new kitchen incorporates a wood fired oven & a charcoal grill; food acknowledges the continued interest in the origin of ingredients, seasonality & the variety & abundance of local Oxfordshire produce.Gee’s remains the place in Oxford to enjoy a fabulous meal. There are dishes for sharing & dishes in two sizes to suit different appetites & times of the day. Expect great food to suit every occasion, served by knowledgeable & friendly waiters, in this beautiful, iconic glasshouse in North Oxford.

I expected more ...

The first time is always about expectations. They say on their fancy web page that they are the most beautiful restaurant in Oxford. It is pretty and to my mind worth a visit in daylight, preferably in the warmer months. Its mostly about the food and its about the ambience. The food was good. I... read more

I came to Gee's with a group of friends for Valentine's day. The atmosphere was great and we were the last to leave as I think we were having a better time than most of the couples there! My party had a variety of dishes, including the vegetarian option and all were highly rated. I had the fillet steak as... More

We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was full and very very noisy . This isn't always a bad thing as it gives atmosphere but no good if you'd like to chat . The menu was very good for vegetarians with plenty of choice in all courses. The aubergine falafel were a good starter and the vegetarian cannelloni... More

This was the second time I had dined in this restaurant. The last time was 11 years ago. I do not think the decoration and the atmosphere of this restaurant need any more praise. However, in terms of food, both mains, beef steak and tuna steak, we had were of low quality. We had 3 courses. I had 2 glasses... More

They were very busy. I tried to make a booking on the day, but they could only find me 9:45pm. This turned out OK, and the service was very prompt. Prices reasonable, and food well presented and tasty

Dropped by for a quick and casual lunch. Food service and the whole package so much better than my last visit. I would still say the wine list if a little "dumbed down" and would leave me feeling that the options where rather limited if I were there for dinner. Happy my local establishment has upped its game. Great for... More

After an unfortunate incident where my coat was stolen while eating at Gees before Christmas, they offered a meal for two as compensation. Was a delightful evening and Nong, the Restaurant Manager was very welcoming and seemed genuinely concerned about what had happened with my coat. The food was excellent as always, my wife had the rabbit and I had... More

Gee's is a really pretty venue. I drive past it all the time, but for some reason I never eat there. Some friends selected it for our evening out, and I was excited to be going after all this time. Inside is just as lovely as you would imagine - all glass and potted trees - but the glass is... More

I can't believe that until Thursday night I had never been to Gee's in 5+ years living in Oxford. It was just a wonderful experience. Set in a converted Victorian conservatory with olive trees, shelves of lush plants and atmospheric lighting, the venue itself is magical, romantic and cosy. The food is fantastic; a concise selection of thoughtfully put-together dishes.... More
