Distinctly average

Service was OK, but the portion sizes were small and the fish generally lacked flavour. Not what you expect for a specialist fish restaurant. The new potatoes were very undercooked. Won't rush back.

Came here for a lunch. Relaxed atmosphere & attentive staff. Best thing was the open kitchen. Was nice to see chefs in clean uniforms, doing they prep, taking care of every little thing. Food was excellent! Best chicken liver & duck parfait i ever had! I live in Reading, but definetely will be coming back !

We visited this fish restaurant on Tuesday 26th January on the way back from a sightseeing tour of London for our Malaysian friends. When I realised that this restaurant was deep in Morse country in Jericho a suburb of Oxford, I was not only hooked but mesmerised by its surroundings but it's ambience was so special. The variations of fish... More

Had a nice dinner on a Wednesday. Nothing to complain about, the waiter was very attentive and the food was good. Could have more seafood choice... Loved the simple but still cosy atmosphere.

Had a nice lunch, the food was really good with lovely presentation. A lot of people had recommended Loch Fyne so I was looking forward to a nice meal before the cinema. However, from the offset the waiter (looked like manager) was very rude and huffed and puffed at all polite requests. Not welcoming in the slightest. I don't normally... More

Came on a friends birthday. The guy who served us was fab. Really friendly and attentive. He gave my friend a free bottle of champagne as it was her birthday great touch. Good menu choice. Think my choice wasn't that great had the smoked haddock it was very scaley and not the best. The creme brulee was all hard top... More

Our first visit and after much anticipation it didn't live up to much. The food was rather bland . Although the service was nice the food just didn't live up to much the salmon was burnt and potatoes had obviously been left out for a while . my fish pie although presented nicely had no flavour what so ever. We... More

We regularly dine at Loch Fyne, so we thought it would be nice to take friends who've never been, to celebrate NYE. We weren't disappointed, as both the food and service were excellent. My friends were welcomed like old friends and the quality of the food was to its usual high standard. Even when one of us couldn't have their... More

I took my parents who were visiting me for the holidays to Loch Fyne and thought that the service was excellent! Our waiter was very helpful in suggesting wines and even told us about a student discount. The food was delicious over all although the portions were on the smaller side with the exception of the Fish & Chips which... More

I'm normally a fan of Loch Fyne, they are usually reliable for the quality of their ingredients and the level of their service. It's that reliability that I look for, I don't go because I expect to be blown away by the food but because I can be sure of having an excellent bowl of Moules and good service. The... More
