Met up here with some family members after a long day out. Our last experience at another Loch fyne was not good so I entered with a little trepidation. However, staff were very welcoming and willing to explain the menu. Food was served relatively quickly and was very tasty, Portion sizes were adequate and I can safely say that we... More

On Saturday we went with my mother, who needs a wheelchair to get around, for lunch at Loch Fyne. The restaurants is pleasantly arranged and a nice place to eat. The food was really good, although my mother's risotto was not hot. However, they said they would have changed it had she mentioned it at the start of the meal.... More

The food, was very good. Scallops and haggis, unusual combination that worked well. The Spicy Chorizo and Seafood Couscous was outstanding, stunning good seafood flavours in a rich tomato sauce enhanced by the Chorizo. Lobster Spaghetti had exquisite flavoured sweet lobster in a very rich sauce. Not massive amount of lobster, but was good value given the cost and quality... More

The food was really good, as we hoped... although we were surprised that the dressed crab only came with a bit of salad. It's very rich and we felt it needed some kind of bread/toast to eat it with. Luckily we'd ordered (and paid for) a basket of bread, so we ate it with that. The service though was poor.... More

Not a bad place. Positives are that the place is close to the city centre, is fairly roomy, has decent toilets, offers reasonably good food and drink, and is not massively overpriced. One key point, there is no intrusive background music so you don't have to shout in order to engage in conversation with your dinner companions. Possible negatives. I... More

It was a quiet night this evening and we wanted a nice meal after the cinema. I ordered the seared tuna; it retrospect I could tell it was not very fresh, but by the time I had cycled 15 mins home, it was the beginning of a night on the toilet!!! Why can the chef not work out when fish... More

Loch Fyne is among the very best seafood restaurants I've enjoyed, including in NYC! The menu varies according to the catches they have. The Lemon Sole Meuniere, either on or off the bone (I had it off the bone) was delicately seasoned with oll and butter to allow the fresh taste of this mild fish to be enjoyed. My dining... More

This is our favourite restaurant in Oxford. The food, the service and setting are all amazing. The fish dishes are their speciality and they set a high bar for the competition.

My colleague were seated at the front of the restaurant. It's pleasant, have been here many times and have always enjoyed looked forward to the meal. This evening however, it was pretty chilly outside and so I was looking forward to some soup and the stew for a hearty, warming meal. Firstly, the Good. The service from, I would say... More

I went for a meal with my son, on a table for two. It wobbled, so I took a paper napkin from a nearby empty table to fix the problem, informing the waiter when he came to serve us. Instead of the professional "I'm sorry, sir", he scowled "you shouldn't have done that". When I explained to the manager that... More
