Went there on a weekday evening and it was not overly busy, we were given a choice of tables . The quality of the dishes ordered were first class and served quite promptly The service was a little slow to begin with but as the restaurant got quieter people were served more quickly. I get the impression that at really... More

We arrived early without a booking on a Thursday evening and were given a very good table for 4 in the front of the restaurant. Service was good, the food was excellent and the place had a good atmosphere. A good choice of different fish dishes with decent size servings and a varied wine list. Prices are reasonable for the... We visited Loch Fyne last week as part of our daughters graduation celebrations and were not disappointed. The food is really good and the atmosphere great for a party type evening. Good champagne and lobster is hard to beat! Stick with the seafood and try something a little different and you will not be disappointed, not a 'posh' night out... More

We spent two weeks in Oxford and ate at Loch Fyne twice. I can't agree that the atmosphere isn't cosy - it is nice and appropriate for the setting - you can choose from normal large room dining to eating in front of the restaurant on the street. The first time there both my husband and myself had Fish and... More

That was my second time in that so called "fish restaurant".The first time was ok but I had salmon which does not need any spectacular culinary skills therefore I didnt really have an opinion. This time though if I could give zero stars I would.I had an oyster, the salmon for starter(which were ok,nothing spectacular but descent) but my main was tagliatelle... Visiting my third branch of this chain, I was impressed by much of the layout, but NOT by the open spiral staircase (17 steps) to the toilets, although they were clean (unlike the disabled ones a member of my party used). Didn't have starters. Generally others were happy with the main courses mine was sea bream with microscopic mussels a... More

Tasty, healthy food, very friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. Wild hake with a glass of Picpoul de Pinet is a must! If you want to avoid busy times, go during the week.

Having eaten here a couple of times before and always been disappointed by the casual and ineffectual service I am delighted to say that the service has improved dramatically. There is little a restaurant can do to oysters or dressed crab that ruins them but they meal can be ruined by the staff. The Oxford branch of Loch Fyne has... More

Lovely fresh cuisine, I had king prawns followed by Steak off the Bone then the Belgium chocolate tart, a great experience and will definitely visit again .
