Almost but not quite there. Even Café Rouge is better.

I want to like this restaurant: it's French and it's reasonably priced.  More importantly, it has crepes suzette five minutes away from home. And yet, I'm never quite happy and not just because the crepe suzette is overly sweet and the stuff hadn't been properly trained in serving it (they light it... read more

Food not bad but not particularly good.... well, awful merengue as a dessert, don't ask it! Service is good enough. Too noisy. All in all we found it somehow overpriced although not excessively, skip french wines and it will fit better. Just normal, we won't repeat but if it's necessary we won't resist. Normal.

Very attentive staff who made you feel it was a special night out...but prices very reasonable. Choice very good and food delicious. Great to get morteau sausage in the UK! Special of the day was guinea fowl in mushroom sauce and my goodness was it tasty...the sauce was more like thinnish but intensly flavoured mushroom gravy with lots of tender... More

We were part of a large group, with a fixed menu. The place was large and busy, but we were in an alcove that felt relaxed and comfortable. The meal was good, despite the fact that we were constrained in choice, and the drinks selection was also good. Service was friendly if s bit rushed at times (understandably so). Would... More

Went with a friend on Saturday for lunch. Was quiet, spacious restaurant well spaced tables. Went for the special lunch menu - what incredible value, 3 delicious courses and a glass of wine. Service was courteous, never intrusive, but always attentive. Went for the Cod brandade with lentils, light fluffy, flavoursome with lentils adding spicy warmth. smoked haddock risotto was... More

We decided to visit the Brasserie on a Sunday evening before our cookery school day at Le Manoir. We were disappointed firstly that they had been very busy at lunch time and run out of 5 dishes on the menu.... so choice was limited. The starters were beautiful - cheese souffle and white onion soup, but unfortunately the steak and... More

Haven't been there for years following a mediocre meal some time ago So much better now. Very busy as it was Valentines Day but food was execellent and service good even though they were pushed. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and we will certainly go again.

We went for the fixed price menu and the beef Provençal was cooked perfectly served with a timbale of rice followed by the best texture chocolate pudding we have tasted with hot sauce and vanilla ice cream - delicious. Jan who served us was friendly and the experience was a very pleasant and enjoyable couple of hours. With wine &... More
