Burgers and sides

Excellent quality burgers. Not cheap when you add on sides, fries, drinks and puds but you get what you pay for. Never been when it was really busy and always got a table right away (so the service has always been top notch). Central location on george st, where there are lots of restaurants to... read more

Delish burger and piping hot chips... All future burgers will now all be subject to comparison... And taste lacklustre as a result. Just as scrummy were the staff... Definitely picked for their charm and smouldering good looks... A very pleasant end to a stressful day!

Very busy and noisy, but the meal was good. Both burger and fries were nice, but it is a bit pricey.

I have eaten here many times and am a fan, it is a well sit positioned restaurant in the centre of Oxford. Usually the service is good and the burgers of great quality. This particular visit was a disaster however. The burger was dry and tasteless, the chips were under cooked, the service was desperately slow, it took 20 minutes... More

At heart this is a newly styled take on a classic American burger diner and they do a good job. A meal will cost you about £10 for the classic hamburger and fries, and can increase quickly with cheese, other styles of burgers, and multiple add on options. Whilst a chain, Byron's is a great place to pop in if... More

Been here many times and just can't find fault for burger bar. Service is good, and the burgers, well they are just superb, cooked as you wish for and the bun is good too, not sweet at all and that makes for one fine burger. What I've noticed is that a clean unused menu is given to each customer, and... More

I went here with some friends from work for a birthday a fuel stop so to speak. I had the Le Smokey Burger with French Fries and I have to say it was the best burger I have had in a while. There was 9 of us and everyone was very impressed with there burgers. 2 people had the Milkshakes... More

Moved to Oxford from California 2 years ago and Byron continues to serve what I consider to be the best burger in town. A good burger isn't just about the meat. It also requires a lot of effort on bun and topping selection and preparation. These guys and girls do it right. Full disclosure: I'm a regular customer. For a... More

My advice is to only visit when you are really hungry (I couldn't even finish the skinny burger). The restaurant is nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful!

I just went for lunch to day. The burgers and fries were great. But I'm not impressed with the service. In their defence - the restaurant was quite packed today. If you're looking for a nice juicy burger in town, this would be a great choice. Be prepared to a crowded restaurant with only few waitresses. Food : I had... More
