It's now Kadai & Naan. See separate entry. Please don't put reviews here as this place is no longer Sherpa!
We went to sherpa restaurant 2 weeks ago, the decoration is fairly new as it has been recently refurbished. The food is good but the service is slow and the presentation is average. It was very quite for a friday evening only 1 other table . Overall it was an ok experience there are better nepalese/ bangladeshy restaurants on cowley... More
I ate at this restaurant several times when it was called Sherpa. It has reopened as Kadai & Naan after refurbishment and the food is still excellent.
Having read the views, we were keen to give the Sherpa a try, and so trudged all the way from the City Centre, only to find the place closed for a refurbishment. This was on 25 March 2013. Not impressed that the restaurant's website am no mention of this. We'll try again the next time we visit Oxford.
Having not experienced much in the way of Nepalese cuisine I was eager to give this place a try. From the outside it looks modern and well kept and this image was carried out within. Although we were the only people dining this Thursday lunch time the atmosphere felt comfortable and warm with ambient music playing in the background. Due... More

I had dinner at this place the other night. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The waiter was very responsive. I felt like he was visibly glad every time I ordered something. When I ordered a beer, he thanked me and beamed brightly, almost as if I were pinning a Victoria Cross on him. The popodams... More
Having returned from a holiday in Nepal we gave this a go to remind us of a great trip. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. The chicken Momos, samosa chat basse camp lamb, and mis masu were really tasty and well prepared., Well done to sherpali team
Friendly attentive service, clean surroundings, reasonable price, truly delicious food. These are what I like at a restaurant, and I got them all here. The location on Cowley Road is very handy for those staying at the B and B's. I only wish that I could have sampled more of the things on their menu.
I have visited this place several times, including when it operated under a different name and every visit, I discover something new and delicious. Their food is distinctly different from many other takeaways on Cowley Road, including dosa, momo and dal bhat: high quality, generous portions and lovely, friendly staff.
