Almost Perfect

Very nice place with a friendly fun atmos and good coffee. ..would have given 5 but were greeted upon arrival by a snooty woman who was rather up herself...but all the other staff were great and would go back.

The meal was really top quality and the wine good and reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow as it was a busy Friday evening but staff apologised for wait. This restaurant is a social enterprise whose profits go to charity, so it it worth supporting.

Our reservations didn't get us seated quickly. The beer selection was good, including the organic ales. Some of the food was good (chicken), but the fish was not on this evening. The environment led to good conversations. The historic location added to the mystique.

Great find, small but excellent menu and good value too. We hadn't booked but were accommodated even though they were pretty busy. Best chicken I've ever tasted in a restaurant, and even with the special two course price, the portions were generous, which you don't always get with such deals in some places. Wine choice was good too. Highly recommend.

Slow roasted pork with apple sauce, Pollack and home made chips - lovely! Good value food, friendly and accommodating staff in a warm and pleasant atmosphere. A bustling oasis in a bustling area. Once you are seated it becomes very relaxed. The home-made vegetable crisps are lovely, and the still or sparkling water is complementary, adding to the already good... More

I've been to the TSK a couple of times, it's fantastic. Real community hub, full and exciting with great food. Must try their locally sourced meals. Huge fan of the Sunday roast, head down to the TSK with a gang of friends for feasting.

The first impression from the website menu encourages - menus of fresh produced sourced that day are drawn up daily and separately for lunch and dinner; a warm welcome and prompt service ensues. A very decent wine list accompanies. We will certainly return.

Been to TSK several times during the day for tea/coffee. Great cakes too. Service has occasionally been very slow: they make you hover by the bar while they make the hot drinks and if they're busy this can take ages. Have booked for supper this week so we'll see how they cope with table service in the evening. Menu looks... More

Looked lovely from the outside and reasonable menu price, limited but advertised as 3 courses for a set price, however it was only available for 1 item on each course. No tables available so told to go to the bar. Sat down an did not get served for at least 10 mins then eventually did just as our table was... More

This is a very relaxed laid back place offering a small lunch menu in a very central location. There are lots of students and shared tables. The menu is fairly small but the food is simple and good. The service is unfortunately not very good. They lost our reservation and were a bit chaotic (wrong sort of coffee arrived etc).... More
