Turn off High Street, wander up Turl Street (pedestrian traffic only), and just before you get to Broad, you'll see the welcoming edifice of Turl Street Kitchen. The charming dining room features mix-and-match wooden tables and chairs, and the feel of the neighborhood pub with the added benefit of spectacular meals. The menu includes 2- and 3-course options, as well... More

The Turl Street kitchen has a lovely 'feel' ... intimate, slightly quirky, comfortable. They are available for small snacks, like for morning or afternoon tea, and also for full meals at meal-times, complete with bar service. We only had afternoon tea, but the menu looked great, and I'll definitely return to sample the full meals. Nice atmosphere ... lounge-like, sometimes... More

Three of us chanced on this restaurant while looking for a lunch venue after we met up in Oxford. We had a seat in the big window, on a shared table (we were told it would be a shared table, and we were happy about this). Nice informal atmosphere. The menu is limited, but we liked what we saw. Food... More

Had our breakfast here every day as a part of our stay at the Tower House Hotel. Breakfast was always tasty and the service was good.

Turl Street Kitchen has a great location in the picturesque centre of Oxford. The food is excellent, and the menu varies, so is good for visiting a number of times. Staff are friendly and the service is good. Loved the layout of the restaurant and bar too. I would definitely recommend this to Oxford visitors and residents.

On a hot summer evening it can be hard to get a table at a decent restaurant in Oxford. Because the Turl Street Kitchen is slightly off the beaten track (last time I was here it was the QI Club - a looong time ago) the odds are better for a walk in with no booking. It's a plain and... More

We ate dinner at the Turl Street Kitchen on a recent Saturday night. The restaurant was busy so it was fortunate that we had booked ahead. The menu was not large but there were enough choices to satisfy everybody. The ingredients were fresh and prepared in interesting ways. We enjoyed the informality of the setting and were able to have... More

I had lunch here in July while attending the Oxford Food Symposium. I had a main course of Salt marsh Lamb, which turned out to be very like an Irish Stew.It was delicious, except for the rather large piece of string buried in a chunk of lamb. Took a while to get attention of waiter, just wanted to warn him... More

Thank you for your kind words - and letting us know about the issue with the string in such a calm way. We endeavoured to prevent the problem occurring for the rest of our customers. We hope to see you again soon, either in the Tower House, our sister hotel, or our restaurant itself. Warmest regards, Javi. More

We enjoyed our dinner here very much. The appetizer of duck sausage, peas and rocket was unique and excellent. The beet salad appetizer was less impressive: the greens had long bitter stems and there was only a tiny tab of Oxford blue cheese. A vegetarian main of courgettes, broad beans, pine nuts, etc. was slightly spicy and quite good, although... More
