A local restaurant filled with locals

The TS Kitchen is located centrally off broad street. A large space over 2 levels, with a bar and schoolroom type furniture. The menu is relatively limited, but the food was good value as was the wine ( though a little chilly -Red) All in all, good value for money

We enjoyed the buzzy atmosphere here and the food was good, fresh and wholesome. We had one course as we were going on to a concert and were early. Venison stew voted very good as were fish and chips and steak. Despite all comments about service we had very good service and the staff were cheerful and helpful. I like... More

Really enjoyed a meal here. Super choice on the menu. Very good bubble and squeak! Continental friend able to taste what good home cooking in the UK is. Locally sourced food. You can taste the difference! Lovely puddings:)

We had two sandy lane squash bakes which were fairly small considering the price point as a main. When we arrived we were left standing with lots of staff ignoring us. Eventually a lady told someone off for not seating us, while we were still stood there which embarrassed us and the waiter being told off in front of customers!... More

I was staying at the Tower House and breakfast was included. The coffee was outstanding as was the other breakfast items.

It had been recommended by friends and didn't disappoint! Food delicious, good and prompt service, lovely ambience. We'll be visiting for dinner on our next trip.

It was our first visit to Oxford and we fortunately came across Turl Street Kitchen earlier in the day when we went in for coffee and loved the atmosphere so we booked for dinner that evening. Very glad we did! The food (all sourced locally) was excellent and well presented - beetroot tatin, fishcakes for starters then whiting and pheasant... More

Really enjoyed the food and I like the fact it's organic and ethically sourced. It was well prepared and presented. The service started off well, but feigned. I had to get my own sauces and when we waited for the bill, we waited and waited, while the two waitresses chatted and laughed about whatever they were laughing about. I had... More

Not what we expected: wanted to come here to support Oxford Hub and local produce etc. Service friendly but a bit random, and although we booked very early on a Sunday eve and it was empty-ish when we arrived the waiting staff began to get flustered once the restaurant filled up. Food was worthy/earnest north Oxford healthy eating style. Seasoning... More

As other reviewers have commented TSK has a great ability to be all things to all people and to adapt to every requirement. It works equally well for working during the day (in the mornings I often have a (fantastic) coffee while catching up on emails) or for a place to meet friends for a boozy lunch. I've had relaxed...
