Honesty to the rescue.......

As I was not familiar which restaurants would be open on Sunday for late lunch/early evening dinner and not wanting the usual KFC, or Pizza, or McDonalds I came across Turl Street Kitchen. The reception on the phone was friendly and inviting - I explained we were doing a Treasure Hunt first and... read more

Breakfast was good, staff very pleasant. Would have liked my porridge not quite so stodgy. Less than a minute from B&B.

Took a guest for lunch here. It was his first visit to the city. Also in the party was a longtime resident of the area. Both loved the atmosphere and the quality of the food and service.

The restaurant itself is lovely-open plan and simple. However, the waiter who showed me to my table hadn't given me a menu and I felt that the waitress, when she came over was almost being told off, for this small error. My friend and I didn't want much to eat: soup and a starter. My soup was ok, but her... More

The granola and yoghurt pots and sausage buns were fab. The bacon butty was even better. Machiato was good but the cappuccino was not the best. Overall a very good Sunday morning breakfast for a family of five.

The food is okay but the staff are so rude! I had some kind of salad but the staff seemed to think that I should be honoured I was even there!

I am very surprised by other recent reviews that suggest that the service at this restaurant is not very good. In our experience the service was excellent. The food is very good and if you are vegetarian there is a good choice and the results are impressive. Prices are reasonable and the place itself is interesting with lots of character.... More

We booked a table a few weeks in advance for a Saturday night (v glad we did as TSK was very busy). We were a little early so decided to sit in the bar area to the side of the restaurant and have a glass of wine. Rustic style menu, about 5/6 starters, 5/6 mains and 2 desserts. I had... More

This is the best English food I had for a long time... Got the cottage pie, so tasty!!! The meat is incredibly well cooked, my friends had the lamb neck to share, the dish is so massive and it tastes like it comes straight out of my grandma's kitchen... Such a dream place. We didn't have time to taste desserts... More
