Been to TSK several times during the day for tea/coffee. Great cakes too. Service has occasionally been very slow: they make you hover by the bar while they make the hot drinks and if they're busy this can take ages. Have booked for supper this week so we'll see how they cope with table service in the evening. Menu looks... More

Looked lovely from the outside and reasonable menu price, limited but advertised as 3 courses for a set price, however it was only available for 1 item on each course. No tables available so told to go to the bar. Sat down an did not get served for at least 10 mins then eventually did just as our table was... More

This is a very relaxed laid back place offering a small lunch menu in a very central location. There are lots of students and shared tables. The menu is fairly small but the food is simple and good. The service is unfortunately not very good. They lost our reservation and were a bit chaotic (wrong sort of coffee arrived etc).... More

Excellent ambience; gorgeous, artisan food, and all at an excellent price. We had lunch, and two mains and one dessert cost £22. You're looking at £30 for two in total, with drinks and an extra dessert. It was genuinely memorable, and punches well above its weight; I'd say it fares very favourable against some of the Michelin starred London restaurants.... More

Went in for a desert lunch with my girlfriend and ordered two apple crumbles plus a hot chocolate, single hot chocolate. The cost... £12.20. Okay... well let's wait and see what we get. The hot chocolate was a decent size although quite bitter and without cream or marshmallows offered. The apple crumbles were surely a joke? Surely the staff just... More

The menu was small but the dishes on offer all sounded appealing and healthy. My beetroot salad with lentils, pears and cheese was excellent with a tasty dressing and the others had meatballs which was perfect for a cold day. With no room for desserts we stuck with one dish but those on other diners' plates looked gorgeous.

We visited Turl Street Kitchen for a mid-week evening meal. We both chose a starter and a main course and both were prompt and served with an extremely friendly touch. The food was excellent. It's a small, selective menu, but don't let this put you off. The courses are balanced, fresh and well cooked. TSK is quirky and a little... More

My friends and I stumbled across Turl Street Kitchen while exploring the city and stopped for lunch. The food (all four of us ordered the veg & Oxford Blue bake) was unique and very tasty and the service was very good. I would stop here again next time I'm in Oxford.

I mainly go to Turl street kitcken because the ambience feels cosy, warm and slighly intellectual. In the tea room armchairs are available, fireplace is on in winter and good chill out music plays while you check emails or read a book. Food is organic and original, although slighly overpriced for a social business. Service is the sore spot though,... More

I've been to TSK many times and was never disappointed: the food here is fresh, tasty and often a mix of traditional and unusual dishes that defeat the bad reputation of English food. The restaurant and cafe parts have a feel of a living room and is busy most of the time.
