Ale and Thai Food Go Well Together

A little pub across from Christchurch College. The lagers and ales are reasonably priced with several selections on tap. The menu of Thai food is not extensive. The noodles dishes are quite good and not overly greasy. The coconut soup was a bit thin. Nice place for a quick bite.

We went here again as we have always enjoyed the food. Again it wasn't a disappointment. The Satay and prawn tempura were delicious. Mains were also great, a good size and a fair price. We didn't have to wait long for food despite there being lots of others also ordering food. Very pleased

This pub on St Aldates across from Christ Church has a terrace in the back. The pub serves typical Thai food, but portions are rather small.

Reasonable pub grub, and some thai dishes. Fish and chips good, but the curries are excellent. Not the best ambiance, and the eating area is a bit cramped.

Taken by surprise by our eldest son choice of Thai. What a place he took us to. An olde worlde historic location. Fantastic real ale, new world lager and great wine list. the staff were awesome, very polite and attentive. The menu did not disappoint. There's a great choice and also traditional English fayre.

It is a traditional old pub with a good atmosphere and small terrace at the rear, however, the surprise is the menu which is predominantly Thai food but there is English fayre available if required. We opted for the Thai menu and had vegetable Tempura and chicken Satay followed by Pad Thai, one beef and the other chicken. Each dish was... More

Though the pub specialises in Thai food we decided to have traditional English faire. My fish was cooked wonderfully and my girlfriends rack of ribs came of the bones like pulled pork... Very reasonable price and wonderful food. Would visit again if in Oxford.

My friends and I stopped off at this pub a few evenings ago as it was one that we had not visited previously. The exterior makes the pub seem quite pleasant, and its location on St Aldate's would imply that is so as well; but unfortunately not. Once inside, the pub smells of stale beer and sweat. It was about... More

recommended by a friend, but not sure why. This pub doubles up as a Thai restaurant. We didn't eat there, just drank, so can't comment on the food. Ok. Decor and layout. The pub is small, long and dark. It's claustrophobic, and there's no where to sit that isn't next to the walkway. It's dimly lit, if lit at all.... More
