Excellent flat white in a cosy bike shop

Don't be deterred by the bike shop facade, go up the stairs through the bike shop. The coffee is excellent! Small selection of cakes and savory cabinet food - looked good but we were there solely for coffee.

Perhaps one of the best coffees in Oxford, with the baristas coming on strong in the last couple of years. Excellent beans from UE coffee and a good selection of shot based coffees on offer as well as plenty of teas (if that's your thing). Good choice of home made cakes and great simple toasted sandwiches that hit the spot.... More

Upstairs. Interesting cycling theme. A Penny-Farthing might add to the decor. Pretty relaxed. My cappuccino was OK, but really nothing special. Zappi's might really appeal to rabid cyclists, rather than once-a-weekers like us. Probably an ideal meeting place for students. Internet availability? Who knows?

This combines fantastic Italian coffee, made properly, with good cafe food in a surrounding of bikes. It is quirky but with the limited space you are encouraged to share tables with strangers and almost forced to have a conversation - so typically un British and very Italian ! I love going here whenever I am fortunate enough to be in... More

It was our first visit and we found the staff friendly, the coffee spot on, and the prices stress-free for those on a student budget. Just out of the main shopping area, we managed to get the last table despite it being peak lunch time at the weekend. The cafe itself is conjoined with the bike shop, making for an... More

Hidden away above and part of a bike shop. Nice for a coffee and a sandwich. Not much seating and some people blocked seats, working on their laptops with a glass of free water from the jug which seemed a bit off given the lack of space. Service was a bit slow but it was a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Can... More

I've been to Zappi's several times and it's always a treat. Great coffee and the toasted banana bread is delicious. Only downside is it can be difficult to get a seat as it's getting too popular!!

I read good reviews for this cafe so decided to take a visit when I went to Oxford recently. It wasn't the easiest cafe to find but I loved the unique location! The staff were very friendly, and recommended the guest blend for my espresso macchiato; which was full of flavour and body and just all round brilliant!

This place is a hidden gem tucked away in the back of the first floor of a bike shop. Really lovely folks serving up thoughtfully-prepared, proper coffee.
