THE BEST COFFEE I HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME!

That latte that was made for me was to die for, the flavour of the beans and the froffiness / creaminess / tastyliciosness, I know I'm making up words here but the taste of coffee latte was just so damn good. I have came back 2 more times but the place was full, PLEASE MAKE IT BIGGER haha. This... read more

First time here now that it's switched from Zappi's to Handlebar. Got our drinks right away, excellent cappuccino, maybe the best in Oxford. We then waited 40min for a soup and some toast. We started noticing orders of folks who'd come behind us being served which is always extra frustrating. My "toast" was cold, although the beans and avocado topping... More

Zappi's, now called The Handle Bar, is one of Oxford's gems. It's certainly one of the best cafes in the city and the quality of the coffee is up there with Mostro and Quarter Horse. The Handle Bar has a number of advantages over the competition. Firstly the size, it can seat around 60 people which means although it's always... More

Zappis has been recently refurbished and is now called The Handlebar. Excellent coffee, with the most helpful and friendly staff. The working corner is well equipped with plugs and good lighting for a few hours of undisturbed work time. It can get crowded at peak hours however! Loved the pancakes the last time I tried them x

Love the coffee here, even serve soy milk and lactose free for the likes of me. Their soup was great and much needed on a cold rainy day, only let down no gluten free bread! Otherwise an awesome little lunch!

This has recently been expanded and perhaps the ownership has changed; the quality of food and the atmosphere seems to have deteriorated. When we visited we had parsnip soup which was tasteless and with a lumpy texture, a tiny piece of bread with it. The cafe was very noisy, children running around about us jumping about - not in any... More

Always great coffee and toasties, now expanded. Guest roasts are nice but the house roast is better!

We always stop here on a bike ride - after all it's a bike cafe! Best advice - have the banana bread or the breakfast nap - both made in house and outstanding quality. Coffee is second to none. If you like bikes, even better.

Excellent coffee in the bright and buzzy loft upstairs at Zappi's bike shop. The only downside is that it is small and usually full (then I go to Missing Bean instead for equally good coffee in bright and buzzy surroundings)
