We went here encouraged by Giles Coren's repeated plugs in The Times, especially since he rarely bothers to recommend anything outside London. It's worth all the praise. I'll avoid a dish by dish summary. We enjoyed all that we ate and would probably try something different next time. Dim sum are absolutely exemplary. The menu is refreshingly original. Ingredients are... More

Been twice recently, pretty expansive menu and food is great (squid was bang on), beware of ordering anything with an s against it if your not a lover of spicy/hot food. Service friendly although not a lot of atmosphere if your eating during quiet times as we were however once it fills up its quite vibrant. Well worth a try

Sojo is the kind of Chinese restaurant that makes you feel that you can't possibly go anywhere else. As a fan of Chinese food I have felt defeated in recent years in finding a restaurant which is fresh, tasty and affordable. China town in London seems to have hit a pretty low ebb of late and the best food I've... More

I am a bit addicted to this restaurant. My husband and I go in here a lot and always have a lovely meal. My absolute favourite is Miao Clan - chicken in a clay pot. The salt and pepper squid is awesome as well. And if meat is very much your thing, try the pork hock. It's probably best to... More

We were recommended to eat here by several others and we now know why. At first glance the menu does not appear to be that different from the many scores of other Chinese restaurants I have eaten at. However, once the food starts arriving, you soon see a diffenece when you start to eat. the flavours and quality of the... More

Visited recently with a group of friends celebrating 50th birthdays . The resturant was built up to be really really great and the newspaper review didnt help expectations . The place was busy and there was even a sign on the door to turn away people who had not reserved We had the set meal ( £20 for 2 courses... More

I am a regular to SoJo, but last night I have to say the food was monumental, mixed dim sum to start, this came with a delicious chilli oil as well as the ubiquitous soy sauce. To follow we had Tofu with crispy beef, Chicken with salted fish and aubergine and Fried fish with water chestnuts. Although the restaurant was... More

Authentic Chinese food in a very nicely decorated restaurant. I got vegetable hofun (a noodle dish) and chinese spinach in some sort of ginger sauce. Both dishes were delicious albeit a little salty. My girlfriend got wonton soup (the wonton's were homemade and delicious) and fried rice which was fresh and good. Food was all around very good. Server was... More

Tasty flavoursome food, as authentic as it gets outside of Asia. Food critics have raved about this place, and I can't say enough! It is so great, incredible flavours perfectly balanced, and served alongside well cooked meat. Great for a sit down lunch or a late night take out. I've been a loyal fan for many years while studying in... More
