The decoration, service and food were all unsurpassable. If you go to Oxford, don't miss out on SoJo thinking it's going to be a run-of-the-mill Chinese: this place is amazing. But make sure you book: even on a rainy Tuesday evening in December it was fully booked.

This has got to be one of the best Chinese’s places to eat in Oxford, 4 of us dined and we all loved it, the food was fresh, the service was excellent and I cannot wait to go back.

There are a lot of bad Chinese restaurants in the UK, but SoJo isn't one of them. For a start it's usually full of Chinese students which is always a good sign and chopsticks are the default option. The food itself is freshly prepared and the service efficient and pleasant. The dim sum are particularly good and I also recommend... More

If you're looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, SoJo is the place to go. Try dim sum followed by the Crispy Duck. Delicious!

I have eaten here a few times now and it is by far the best Chinese resteraunt I have eaten in. The food is traditional to china and not the usual food were used to seeing in takeaways. The ham hock and crispy squid are to die for. This is really a Hidden gem and couldn't recommend it enough

I arrived at Sojo the day after I just had a great meal up the street at Opium Den and was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is just as good! After chatting to the staff I eventually found out that the owner of Sojo was also the owner of Opium Den. Anyway the food was amazing. I especially... More

I've been here a number of times over the years. A bit like the Chinese restaurants in Soho, they do it "their" way - go with the flow, and you'll be fine. (NB - they're not as rude as some of the places in Soho, though!) They are almost always busy - so it is always wise to book. This... More

Been here twice now and both times although food was tasty, it's taken ages to be served, and service has appeared haphazard with some tables getting their orders within ten minutes while we waited about an hour for our mains. Unlike in most Chinese restaurants where food is brought out as it is cooked, here they seem to wait until... More

Came a couple of weeks ago in a large party for a farewell dinner. We were welcomed cheerfully and the whole evening was a delight . In view of the numbers we had a restaurant-chosen meal, both vegetarian and non-veg. Both parties were very satisfied with all aspects of the food, which consisted of numerous dishes, both spicy and not-so-spicy.... More

Solo dining in Oxford. The SoJo made me feel so welcome. Given a nice table. It has an amazing menu. I didn't know what to choose so I took the advice on their menu and asked for help. After establishing I love spicy food I was advised on a number of items including salt and pepper prawns with chilies, and spicy...
