I ordered a meal of onion bhajis chicken vindaloo pilau rice garlic naan with extra garlic and a cucumber riata. The bhajis were lovely so was looking forward to my vindaloo, well when I took my first mouthful I almost gagged there was so much salt in it I couldn't eat it. The rice was the consistency of rice pudding... More

As an ex-pat with a British boyfriend, I was long overdue a "proper" Indian curry. Qumins was reccomended by a friend and I could not have been happier. The appetisers were fresh and delicious and the food was piping hot. We ordered a chicken Madras and a vegetarian dish in spicy mustard and raisin sauce... the waitress warned us that... More

I regularly eat Indian cuisine and I have heard great things about Qumins from friends. I booked a table for 8pm on a busy Friday night for two people. We were greeted instantly and shown to our table, which was by the window. Which was nice to watch the world go by! Our drinks orders were taken and we were... More

Qumins has been our favourite-ever curry since we moved to the area four years ago. Food is fresh, tasty and not too greasy. One of us now needs gluten-free food -- the waiter was helpful and the chef understood the issues, offering to roast our poppadums instead of frying in contaminated oil. Very nice evening.

We regularly eat Indian in Sydney Australia and walked past this restaurant and were enticed due to the crowds! The service was ok, the drinks ok, unfortunately the dips were clearly from jars ( we have bought similar ourselves), and the meals were more onion, capsicum and tomato than sauce and meat. It was average food and not bad by... More

We have eaten in lots of restaurants all over the country and this is by far one of the best (reminds me of the wonderful meals in Brick Lane). The staff are delightful and the service wonderful. I cannot recommend this highly enough if you are in Oxford and like Indian food. I took my Uncle and Aunt here once... More

We've been to Qumins several times in past and had been happy with food and service. Today the food was terrible, butter chicken was tasteless and chicken poor quality. The only nice dish was the Pulau rice! The card machine broke down as well and customers had to go to cornershop across the road to get cash.

Got off the coach from a visit to London, and stopped by at Qumins. Welcomed and sat down. The food served was perfect an cooked to a high standard not forgetting the service and pleasant atmosphere (considering it was late on a Monday). Highly recommend house specials. Will be back

We have passed this restaurant several times whilst visiting our daughter at Uni. She had heard good things and the reviews were mostly positive; so we went there last evening. Firstly, the service whilst efficient, was impersonal and hurried (my husbands cutlery was practically thrown on the table as the waitress passed by in a hurry). The Methi dishes, which... More

This is a friendly family run business offering above average Indian food, no strange colourings! A slightly different menu and pretty good value, I do suggest booking as it gets very busy. In fact this is the only downside, they try to do too much and as a result the service and kitchen are rushed & stressed.
