I was looking forward to visiting here for afternoon tea but it was very average service, which felt like they had lots of people to serve and not enough time. Afternoon tea was served 3-4.30. Food was pretty nice but the service let it down unfortunately. I'll try somewhere less commercialised next time.

After Encaenia we met up with friends for lunch. Lovely lunch. Excellent service. Atmospheric. Always dependable from our experience. We has a disabled member of our party, and the staff could not have been more kind. A lovely occasion. Thank you.

This is a lovely place to retreat from the bustle of Oxford. We sat out on their roof terrace and enjoyed cream teas. The service was excellent and it was a lovely experience.

We enjoyed great coffee and some of the best pastries we've had for a long while . I deal pit stop after a long journey and before visiting an exhibition

Lovely setting atop the museum. We did the high tea: finger sandwiches, scone, assorted chocolates on a handsome tiered tray. Food was very good, service fine. Check hours - they close at 5 some days of the week.

The service was slap-dash. The menu was quite limited and very expensive. Those folks at our table facing the front window were blinded by sunlight and ended up eating wearing sun glasses. The food was awful, poorly prepared and served lukewarm.

Perhaps I'm a little harsh only giving this 3/5. The location is stunning and the staff were very pleasant. It was just such a shame that the food doesn't live up to expectations. I'm more than happy to pay a lot of money for excellent food but this food felt almost mass produced. The flavours were nice but it didn't... More

My fourth visit and certainly not my last, always delicious food and wine and courteous service. The menu changes regularly- so you can't get bored! My favourite on a sunny day is to eat on the terrace... Great atmosphere. Do book ahead!

We had lunch at the Ashmolean Dining room and enjoyed a good light meal. We ate inside which was slightly noisy but the central location and airy light views more than made up for it. The food was good albeit the service was rather slow - this suited our party but we would not go again if we were on... More

I'm glad you had a nice visit. Speed of service is very important to us so I am sorry it wasn't as quick as you would like. We do add a discretionary 10% service charge on the bill. The reason we do this is so that we can distribute the money fairly throughout the whole team, including the bar staff,... More
