We stopped off on a long day for some supper and they squeezed us in. The sign of a great place is full on a Tuesday night! The service was very friendly and the food certainly exceeded expectation. We have had lunch here on two previous occasions, and have had an enjoyable time. This visit however was very different. The starters were served soon after sittin down, but drinks took ages to arrive. The main courses were served slowly, and we had to wait at least ten minutes for the accompanying vegetables. There were eleven of us, but... More

We did not stay the night, just came out for a meal. Because the venue was pretty booked, we had a late lunch. It was pretty busy but the staff were very polite and attentive. The vegetarian dish I had was one of the best I have ever had in a pub. The wine was good. Desserts fabulous. I'm delighted... More

Great meal here for Mothers Day, late afternoon. Very tasty food and great quality. We were given a table next to a lovely log fire. Will definitely return!

We went to the BARS for a special wedding anniversary meal having eaten here last year. We were not disappointed with our choice. The staff were all friendly and helpful without being overbearing, the surroundings are great and the food exceptional. I think this could definitely become one of our favourite local restaurants..
