At first glance, it doesn't look fit for campers, especially those visiting from the wrong shade of blue when it comes to boat races. It's a bit posh, and full of shirt and trouser clad local chaps, with partners in summery dresses. My shorts and flat cap felt incongruous, and the grass stains on my companion's jeans told the wrong... More

Good beer and wine selection. Great menu selection, although found the lamb a little pricey for what you got. A great meal and fantastic breakfast.

The caesar salad was superb and a perfect portion size for a light lunch. They have an excellent variety of homemade puddings all of which are delicious. The staff were very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. We will definately be returning.

This is a great location for a quite meal, but is simply not value for the money you pay. We visited for lunch, and the menu does look appealing, the food was just about OK, but lacking in quantity, especially the meat. Big eaters should avoid. Having said that the staff and service were good. Would not visit again.

We booked an early evening table on a summers evening. We were the only couple sat indoors in the restaurant although there were some families and couples eating outside. We counted a total of 6 different staff who served us after waiting for quite long periods between courses. We had to ask for sauces and we're not offered any further... More

Lunch from the light lunch menu, the potted pork was very dry, the crab pasta was very good so was the bear batter fish and chips, however the smoked haddock was a lot of skin, a lot of bones and very little fish, the new potatoes were a little too firm for my liking and the poached egg was hard.... We had been waiting to make a trip to this restaurant for some time and finally made it on a Sunday night recently. The location is lovely and the pub/restaurant is very nicely appointed. The menu looked appealing, everything on-track. The food however was just ok. Nothing particularly wonderful but nothing overly bad either, just ok. Luckily we had great... More

The food was ok but we had lunch with friends we had not seen for ages we had asked for a table we could take our time over but they put us in an area where they were setting up for a wedding. We ordered sparkling water they only supply their own in house brand which they make the night... More
