A disappointing meal

I found this restaurant across from the hotel where I stayed and thought it might be interesting. the waitress/barmaid was charmingly friendly. We arrived at 11:47 for brunch but the chef wasn't willing to do that as it was now lunchtime and they have moved to doing Sunday lunch. So we left. It looks a quirky place but twice now had issues trying to get them to do breakfast.

Recently I was in charge of a small one-day event which took place at The Jam Factory; they couldn't have been more helpful - without being over-fussy, thank goodness - and the food and the atmosphere received top marks from everyone who attended. Afterwards a group of eight of us had dinner in the restaurant and I don't think anyone... More

We went to the Jam Factory for a Sunday lunch with a group of friends. Sadly, the lunch was poor. The roasts were fatty, cold and the portions a little small. The ribs were also smaller than expected. As we were a little hungry after our mains we decided to have deserts, but they were also poor. The crumble especially,... More

What kind of a bar doesn't know how to make a cosmopolitan or open a tab? Such a shame for a good location bar. Love the atmosphere but probably will never go back again :-/

Cool venue, has so much potential. Bartender lacked the most basic hospitality skills. He made my Tom Collins with dirty hands. He used gin and soda water and dumped in a lime. Didn't even try. His body odor stank. We weren't allowed to open a tab. Not recommended.

Very slow service. No sausages at 10am on a Sunday! Milk in a cup. ................................................

Ok so this place is great for a quick pint and maybe a few board games if you want to stay longer. Decor is pretty unique and it is near the train station with good seating indoors and out. However the food is frankly terrible. We ate here the other night and out of 6 people no one had a... More

Had an hour to kill waiting for train. Found the Jam factory and had a pleasant lunch although a little overpriced. Nice beer garden but close to main road so a bit noisy. Limited selection of food but nicely prepared and good selection of beers/cider Good service Definately worth a visit

A wonderful restaurant; a real feeling of comfort and welcome as soon as I entered. Very family friendly and beautiful and tranquil outside facilities; you wouldn't know it was by a road. The whole atmosphere and venue was very child-friendly; even providing board games and wifi. Both the interior and exterior decorations added a lovely feel to the experience with... More
