The Starship Enterprise meets Fawlty Towers!

Saturday evening. It was busy. I'm sure it always is on Saturday evenings. So why under-staff the bar, so that it takes ages to get served? The bar-staff are equipped with iPads, which seem to be designed to slow down service to a crawl. All the tapping of screens is like a scene from the bridge... read more

We went in here for a light bite to eat after a day in Oxford. Whilst the setting and some of the staff were pleasant enough we found the food to be well below par and the staff reaction to a polite complaint just woeful. We ordered a sharing meat platter. What arrived was nothing close to the value of... More

The Jam Factory is beautiful, light and airy; they keep art books and supplies around for you to use; the hot drinks and cakes are reasonably priced. BUT every time I've been there, the experience has been badly let down by really terrible, surly service. No eye contact, let alone a smile; you're made to feel as though they really... More

Very good place for a cup of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and orange biscuit at the end of a busy day sightseeing in Oxford. Great selection of art books too.

I am a Kiwi (New Zealander) and none of the staff understood a word I said!! They stood there glazed eyed with their mouths open. Hello!! But the lunch was just stunning, and we highly recommend trying it. I asked for extra bread and I could have asked for directions to the Moon. Great décor - we just loved it.

Lovely menu, very tasty food and staff with a nice balance of attentiveness. Alas, I didn't have room to try the delicious sounding dessert menu.

I met with friends there for lunch and it was delicious. The 3 of us were friends who knew each other in Southeast Asia so we ordered the Asian stir fry that was the special for the day and it was perfect! We were all so pleased! They serve home made cakes that are lovely.

It is a relaxed, artistic, bright, airy, spacious restaurant and bar. The food is some of the best in organic fine dinning at mid range prices. The selection of drinks is diverse and of the best quality. The daily specials boards do offer dining for £5 to £6 while the menu caters for the midrange of pricing, such as £7.50... More

My partner & I spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening here. Great atmosphere, top quality food, even got to thank the chef Simon in person for the nicest meal out we've had for a long time. Highly recommended!
