I like The Jam Factory and use it a lot when having meetings in Oxford. It is within a short walk from Oxford Railway Station and central Oxford, so very convenient. You can get an excellent variety of coffees, teas and drinks, together with snack meals. The staff are quietly efficient and friendly. It has lots of comfy chairs and... More

Went for lunch with my mum this week. Good food - rather small portions -, pleasant service, and very easy to get to from the station.

Went to our nieces 21st party here and although it provided a great atmosphere the food was lacking in quantity and was very bad value for money. The buffet consisted of iceberg lettuce, beef tomatoes and feta cheese, possibly 1/2 lettuce and 6 tomatoes, 1 thin spicy sausage, 1 4inch thin rib, one fish cake ball, flatbreads cut into fingers... Went in for lunch and had lasagne... well about 5 fork fulls of the stuff, plus lots of lettuce (oh sorry salad?). Well that was about £4 worth of food for around £7. Luckily my other half was not going to eat both parts of her dry and not so appealing falafel wrap so I got to stave off starvation... More

For a whiskey and coke and a pint of something the bill was over £10. Ridiculous. Too expensive even for the south. The only thing that has pushed my review to three stars is that the music, atmosphere and decor was really fab.

Our experience of Christmas at The Jam Factory today was great. We were well served, the food was delicious and clearly freshly prepared. It really looks a though they've had some very varied performances judging by previous reviews but our was second to none. The staff were attentive, well mannered and I cannot thank the manager enough for looking after... More

Looks a lovely place, great menu, but that unfortunately is where it stops. Endured quite simply the most appalling meal there today along with work colleuges. The 'terrine ' for starters was a rather underwhelming pate', main course of a turkey dinner was, (much like the fish dish) warm at best, not piping hot. The quality was akin to a... More

I had a light lunch here yesterday which was pretty underwhelming. The bad news: we had to ask to have the salad dressed and it still had water clinging to it, the mayonnaise was box standard Helman's, the fries were oily and insufficiently cooked, it took a while to get our food. To finish on the good news; the waiting... More

Someone had arranged a get together in Oxford so I didn't pick this venue personally. It is very close to the station and only a short walk from the town centre. It was an interest choice and as you've probably have read receives mixed reviews. It is apparently the site of an old jam factory, hence the name. The place... More

You will experience a different type of bar to the usual venue. It is very arty and has been well developed over the years. Decent wine. The range of beer is not that good but there is a good feel about the place. Worth a visit.
