Our experience of Christmas at The Jam Factory today was great. We were well served, the food was delicious and clearly freshly prepared. It really looks a though they've had some very varied performances judging by previous reviews but our was second to none. The staff were attentive, well mannered and I cannot thank the manager enough for looking after... More

Looks a lovely place, great menu, but that unfortunately is where it stops. Endured quite simply the most appalling meal there today along with work colleuges. The 'terrine ' for starters was a rather underwhelming pate', main course of a turkey dinner was, (much like the fish dish) warm at best, not piping hot. The quality was akin to a... More

I had a light lunch here yesterday which was pretty underwhelming. The bad news: we had to ask to have the salad dressed and it still had water clinging to it, the mayonnaise was box standard Helman's, the fries were oily and insufficiently cooked, it took a while to get our food. To finish on the good news; the waiting... More

Someone had arranged a get together in Oxford so I didn't pick this venue personally. It is very close to the station and only a short walk from the town centre. It was an interest choice and as you've probably have read receives mixed reviews. It is apparently the site of an old jam factory, hence the name. The place... More

You will experience a different type of bar to the usual venue. It is very arty and has been well developed over the years. Decent wine. The range of beer is not that good but there is a good feel about the place. Worth a visit.

I'm not going to say much about the food here, although it has been mostly very good in the past. The real reason to come to this place is the selection of beers! It's the best selection in oxford BY FAR. They have two fridges stuffed full of some of the best bottled beer it's possible to get from Belgian,... More

It looks great, and feels nice and arty and cool, but my goodness it's bad value. I've eaten here a few times, and all but once there's been some problem - most notably a recent Sunday brunch, where they'd run out of eggs. By 11am... I'm sure it's great that all their food is locally sourced, but surely you'd just... More

I am not the first to say this, but thought it worth commenting - while the Jam Factory is a nice enough drinking venue, the food left a lot to be desired. My partner and I ate here last weekend and I ordered a roasted vegetable salad main for £10.75 - what came were a few slices each of courgette,... More

Quick stop here for morning tea - nice quiet place to read and relax, friendly service, reasonable prices All good except strange chocolate orange cake which was both bitter and stodgy. Will choose something different next time!

It has an airy look and feel, spacious and a very light music on background, it is really a great place to stop by for a meal or a meeting. I just grabbed a coffee but the staff was friendly and fast to clean tables and serve things.
