We called in at the Cape of Good Hope for lunch in early July. We had a delicious vegetable tart. The food was very fresh, hot and served very quickly. Our friends had the fish & chips and were also very pleased with their meal.

This is my local pub, and having eaten here and very much enjoyed the food previously (although never on a Sunday), I thought it would be an ideal place to take friends who were visiting Oxford for the weekend. I couldn't have been more wrong... We went early, so it wasn't as if we were getting the leftovers late in... More

Popped in for a pint of Sharp's Doom Bar but it was just off. So I consoled myself with a pint of Kozel, an OK Czech lager. Went for a pizza in Mario's, came back after about 90 minutes and the Doom Bar was back on, so I had a pint. Not great. An hour later I had another pint... More

We went here for a late Sunday lunch and we were bitterly disappointed. There was one man on the bar who took my order who was wearing a scruffy band t-shirt (not what you expect from a fairly expensive restaurant). We ordered the roast pork priced at around £12 and to be fair to the the waiting time wasn't that... More

I went there yesterday, after a bike ride around the beauties of Oxford, from the outside it looks like an ordinary English pub but inside is a total different story. Wow! I really liked the interiors, the music not to talk about the food! I had my first veggie roast OMG! It was delicious, my partner had a lentil and... More

This is a fairly typical city pub - no parking on-site but a small car park not far away. It's on the bus route though. There's plenty of space inside (but it does get busy) and a small outside area. Pretty good beers and some food - fairly pricey though. All in all, pretty good.

Stopped by for a quick drink recently and found this large pub (with a nice outside sitting area) quite charming with a good selection of ales. We had just missed a trivia night that seemed to be very well attended and lively. Would definitely recommend.

Our family stopped in for a few pints and lunch after walking the streets of Oxford. We were treated to great sandwiches and excellent recommendations on a brew. Excellent location with shopping nearby.

Enjoyed lunch here yesterday, fantastic value for good food and decent portion size, not the usual trimmed down set lunch portions that leave you feeling short changed. Welcomed our dog too which always gets brownie points. We would definitely visit again when visiting our daughter in Oxford
