Very good traditional UK restaurant Thai, Great service

If you are looking for traditional UK-type Thai food, you will find this place to be quite good. All the traditional dishes are on the menu. The food is properly prepared and nicely presented. You are not going to find much in the way or exotic Thai food, but you will be delighted if what you want... read more

I was impressed with the Thai decor of the restaurant, the beautiful carved wooden table. I had a nice authentic taste of the red curry with prawn Pad Thai. It was a good combination of Thai flavour like I had it in Thailand! Even they were very busy but the food came very fast with standard of service. We finished... More

We visited at 2pm on Tuesday the 28th of October. We'd been really looking forward to some Thai style food. The opening hours stated the they were open until 3pm. We planned on having a few dishes and then leaving before closing time. No chance- we were greeted by a rather aggressive (senior looking) figure who simply snarled at us... More

The food is okay. Big place but only few costumers. Food is incredibly expensive. The worst is there is a smell. I don't know what it is, i think it's a thai wood decorations which I really don't like but have to say this restaurant is beautiful and i would recommend for people who want to come for celebrate with... I normally hold this as the best Thai in Oxford, however the last 2 visits have both suffered from poor service, both slow and very abrupt (almost rude) when asking for more drinks, water and how is the food coming on! Food quality is still very good and the surroundings of the building are still impressive, but I fear it... More

We visited this restaurant on Saturday to celebrate my husbands birthday. We booked before arriving and were shown to our table prompt, lovely decor and a good atmosphere. We ordered a mixed starter which wasn't anything special and we weren't told what was on the platter too be honest we have had a lot better mixed starters at another Thai... More

The interior decor of this restaurant is good. Food is mediocre. I don't understand how people can rate it 5/5 in trip advisor for such blend food. If you want good food, you should go across the road and try the Korean restaurant (Bamboo) or Sojo or Opium Den! The staff was rude and nosy. The middle age male waitor/manager... More

The decor and furniture are beautiful. Food is excellent and atmosphere is lovely. Had several meals here and every one as good as the last.

6 of us, on business, chose Bangkok House for dinner. Service was impeccable, and all the dishes were fabulous. If you're wanting to try the Thai beer, Chang, be sure to order a half tower.

Came for dinner with a group of friends. One of the best Thai meals I've ever had. To start I had some spring rolls and bean curd dumplings. Spring rolls were tasy, dumplings were a bit bland. My chicken pad Thai for mains was outstanding. Honestly one of the tastiest noodle dishes I've ever had. Could easily have had another... More
