Charming pub, tasty food

Called in to break a long journey and was warmly welcomed. A glass of Hooky and a light meal of avocado, prawns and salad was perfectly presented even though the food service hadn't formally started. Flexible, friendly and very tasty food.

Ideal for a Sunday lunch I chose the Crown Inn after reading the glowing TripAdvisor reviews; and, having visited with a group of 6, this quaint pub impressed with its food quality, service and antique interior. We enjoyed dining in this in the Inn's restaurant but there are tables around the bar too. The traditional pub surroundings - no WiFi... More

There was 10 of us for dinner and we got very well looked after by the team. Good selection on menu, especially the black board. Good beers pies!

This charming pub, owned by chef Tony Warburton and his wife Caroline is in an area of the Cotswolds which is not short of Gastro Pubs but they can hold their heads high with the best of them. Our Saturday lunch was a masterclass of fish cookery. My Fillet of Brill with Caper Butter and my partner's Sea Trout with Peppers... More

we had two meals during our weekend stay, and both were very good. I can thoroughly recommend their steak and ale pie, which is made with local hookey beer. My wife had beef for sunday lunch and I had a cheese encrusted cod portion, both were very good. Very popular so you need to book a table, and the parking... More

Beautiful building, albeit a little tricky in places if you're over 5ft 5! It's definitely worth a visit with lovely decor, friendly staff and great food. A good selection on the regular menu and a large number of "specials" to choose from too. Our food arrived piping hot and was really fresh and tasty. Really happy with our visit, would... More

Me and quite a few friends from around chipping norton and cornwall booked in last minute for dinner last week & we were met by the lovely landlady and have a great time!! Dinner was first class as was our first visit and we hung around and had a drink or two with the locals!! Great fun!! Keep it up... More

We had preordered food, as we were a large group. The tables were crowded, scarcely room for one glass each, no space for water & being on the end meant constant jostling. Everyone praised main courses: pork belly, goats cheese, braised beef. Desserts were also mostly good: bread & butter pudding, creme brulee. But the 'rich chocolate cheescake' was more... More
