If you want a filling and great tasting bite to eat, that will not cost the earth, take a look at the Priory, compared with the other outlets bars and restaurants on the high street, this place gets my vote. The food was tasty, filling and if the sun is shinning, sit out the back in their large garden, and... More

Breakfast was ok, service was slow. We had stayed overnight in a courtyard room (mistake, dreadful bed) and were told breakfast was from 9am. Ordered at 9.05, breakfast arrived at 9.35

Lovely little cafe. Small menu but always good quality food and nice staff. Great breakfasts done here.

Lovely food and lovely staff I highly recommend the chilli with nachos. The food portions are massive and the quality is superb.

Sat outside to enjoy the spring sunshine (and we had the dog) It was particularly busy but service wasn't unduly delayed. Served by a lovely young lady who was very friendly and efficient. We only had a light lunch of baguettes with chips and bottled water. The quality was excellent and very competitively priced, would happily visit again

We visited this restaurant 3 times during the weekend we stayed in the beautiful market town of Burford. Customer service was second to non, good food and a lovely old building.

As if rambling up and down picturesque Burford was not enough of a treat, The Priory is the real reason we like to stop in this quaint village on our way back to London from Wales. The scone on offer with the cream tea is soft, light and sweet. The clotted cream and jam are generously provided and the right... More

We were on a bus trip so time was tight but we had good, prompt service and so didn't feel that we had to hurry. The prices at the Priory were £1-£2 less than the other places on the main road. There is a choice of sitting outside on the pavement, outside in their walled garden or indoors. As it... More

This is one of the most delightful restaurants I have ever dined in. The service was first class and the meal extraordinarily good. Our main meal was accompanied by the freshest garden produce I have ever tasted. The chef(and owner) said all garden produce was from his own garden including the peppers. Having enjoyed the main course and feeling like... More
