Afternoon tea on a Monday - slow service, waitress scoring nothing for charisma, food delivery not coordinated, kept waiting then patronised by person at front desk. Also very overpriced and definitely not "good, good, good" as the waitress kept saying!

This cafe builds itself up as an old established cafe with good food and service, it even has a spoof on the back of the menu saying its staff are lazy etc. i have visited twice since moving here and the service is slow, The tables are messy and the coffee whilst being amongst the most expensive in Burford is... Thought the restaurant was rather too modern (prefer old tea shops for afternoon tea if I am honest - or old hotels with roaring fires). I loved their very freshly cooked chicken and crispy bacon sandwiches, very friendly staff

Hufkins is well worth a visit, we regularly go there. The food is good and the afternoon teas must be tried. The only reason they do not score a 5 from me is on most visits you have time to finish you drink before you receive you food. We also visit their Witney restaurant where the surrounding are not so... More

Dropped in on a cold January day and the welcome was warm. Coffee and scones were excellent and good value for money. Recommended.

I have visited Huffkins in Burford on many occasions and have always thoroughly enjoyed it however was disappointed on my recent visit (4/1/15) as the member of staff who makes the visit even more enjoyable was not in. I believe her name is Angela she is the short blonde haired lady. She made my visits that special however busy they... More

Fabulous veggie soup and best gluten free bread I've ever tasted, a type of focaccia that was absolutely delicious. Excellent service despite being run off their feet.

I was staying in a holiday cottage just around the corner and previous guests had recommended the tea rooms. The service was friendly and prompt. The waitress was appropriately chatty without being intrusive. Us solo travellers always appreciate a brief chat. I ordered the bacon roll and earl grey tea. Both lovely. The tea is loose leaf and the waitress... More

Eaten here 3 times now. Been impressed each time particularly with their all day breakfast. Very busy on weekends and during holidays so service suffers a little. But during the week service and food are excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Will go again.
