Came here for hubbies birthday just the two of us. Love the new decor and good to see more specials on the board! The food, as usual, was fab. Seriously, their creme brulees are works of art! Sadly the service wasn't up to the usual standard - we had find a waiter to pay so hope they didn't get any... More

I was delighted to attend Le Bistrot Pierre in Nottingham along with my boss and colleagues after work. There were 6 of us in our group. The atmosphere was buzzing and the restaurant was busy especially for a Tuesday night. Our level of service varied depending on the waiter (note, didn't see any waitresses during our visit this time) ranging... More

Was recommended by a friends colleague when visiting Notts. We naively thought we might be able to get a table at 6pm on a Friday evening. To my surprise not only were they not excepting any bookings until after 20:30 but the restaurant was already full! We left with out confirming a table booking and phoned a little while later,... Very tasty food, portions perfect size, all 3 of us happy. Service very efficient. Beetroot salad, braised beef and bavarois. Haven't been disappointed here yet. The refurb means it is less noisy than it used to be too. I would give 5s for slightly more interest from waiting staff and if the vegetables were not searingly hot (microwaved methinks).

My wife and I have visited this restaurant many times for pre-theatre dining - and we have yet to be disappointed. The food is consistently of a high standard, and the staff are invariably smart, polite, friendly and helpful; it is an atmospheric venue with a good "buzz" but without the usual excessive canned "background" music. The prices both for... More

Talk about saving the best until last. We went there on our last night in the UK with our local friends who had only ever had lunch there before. We booked well ahead to get in as it is a very popular restaurant in Nottingham. It was packed full with diners of all age groups. The service was excellent, we... More

Celebrating a graduation 6 of us chose this restaurant. It has been ok or good in the past. I awaited my mussels in a Roquefort sauce with growing anticipation. What arrived was 6 mussels with several small pieces of mullet over them in an oily sauce - not "Moules au Roquefort" which the waiter then tried to convince me that... More

Went for lunch to celebrate my Dad's birthday, so a bit of a special occasion! Our Waitress, I think her name was Rose, was fantastic. I'm a Supervisor in a Restaurant myself and would definitely give her a 10/10 for her service. To add to that, the food was gorgeous!! The best restaurant I've been to in a long time.... More

We have always loved Le Bistro and went just after the refurbishment and it was ok, but not up to normal standards. We booked a Friday night in October and sat upstairs which we all agreed we prefer to downstairs, service was fantastic and food was to die for the only thing unusually was the Provence Rosé was bland. The... More

We are pleased your recent visit was more successful,as far as the rosé is concerned perhaps you would like to try our Grenache rosé which is dryer and perhaps has more flavour. Thank you . More

Went for a mid-week dinner. Ordered drinks from waiter who didnt seem to have much knowledge on the wine list (good job the wine was to my taste). Ordered the starter and mains. The Camembert sharer starter was delicious, however the bread was too thin and crispy for my liking and scarce to share between two and a whole baked... More
